Meadowood Napa Valley

Napa, Napa Valley Wine Region

The hotel

Taking you beyond luxury, Meadowood is the very essence of wine country: elegant, indulgent, and inspired by the vineyards surrounding it. Bringing together a perfect blend of social buzz and discreet solitude, its cottages, suites and lodges sit among forests and lawns, with features including fireplaces and outdoor spaces like decks or porches. This being Napa Valley, there are daily wine receptions; but the extravagances at this country estate don’t stop there. There’s a 3 Michelin star restaurant, a soothing health spa, two outdoor swimming pools (one for families, the other for adults), and endless leisure pursuits (like golf, tennis, croquet, hiking, and even Zumba and yoga classes). And, if you’re tempted to leave this luxury, the complimentary house car can take you to downtown Yountville or St Helena.

We only had 2 nights at Meadowood but wish it had been much longer. We had to return to Canada due to the coronavirus crisis. Because of the pandemic, the resort was very quiet. However, we were made to feel very welcome. Morgan helped us select a great room overlooking the golf course. The outdoor pool was heated and the hot tub was great. Had a massage in the spa which might be the best massage I have ever received at a hotel. It was expensive but worth every penny. The Restaurant was closed when we were there (we stayed on a Sunday and Monday when the restaurant is closed) so we missed out. We had breakfast in The Grill which did not disappoint. I look forward to returning when the pandemic is over. Read less

We thoroughly enjoyed our very short 2 days here, but took advantage of the Grill, the Restaurant (3 Michelein Stars), and the Spa, as well as our private deck. We wish we had more time to explore the pools, tennis courts, and hiking trails, hopefully next time.

A beautiful property set in a lush forest of live oaks, with beautiful stone walls sprinkled with ferns and charming cottages spread throughout the property. While welcoming, friendly staff are available with golf carts to transport guests wherever they want to go, know too there are parking spaces at Reception, the Restaurants and all Activity Centers: Croquet Court, Tennis Courts (7), Pools (3), Spa & the Grill). The Spa & Pool areas are very clean & well maintained, with towels, robes & slippers, generous shower amenities (soap, shampoo, lotions, etc.) and 2 well stocked boutiques with something for everyone. Rooms are spacious & well-appointed with a couple areas within to relax or work at. The large screen, living room TV over the fireplace is easily viewed from the comfy couch & club chairs or from the king size bed located on the wall behind. Each cottage has Nespresso coffee maker, a microwave, a mini bar, wine bar & refrigerator where you can remove (without charge, unless enjoyed) “hotel supplied items” and replace w/your own picnic items. Bathrooms have 2 separate sink areas, a huge, deep soaking tub and a spacious shower with generous sized soap, shampoo & lotions and thick terry robes & slippers. NOTE: Unfortunately, lighting through out the bath is dim for make-up. Read less

Beautiful sprawling property. Luckily staff with golf carts are readily available to ferry guests from spot to spot, and will also bring guests to nearby restaurants & wineries. Stairs to guest rooms are burdensome. Grill restaurant very good as was catering.

I would definitely recommend holding your next meeting, wedding or weekend stay at Meadowood. It's an amazing atmosphere and very peaceful and serene. Although I didn't get to experience the spa, it looks fabulous and will definitely need to make time for it on my next trip
