Meadowood Napa Valley

Napa, Napa Valley Wine Region

The hotel

Taking you beyond luxury, Meadowood is the very essence of wine country: elegant, indulgent, and inspired by the vineyards surrounding it. Bringing together a perfect blend of social buzz and discreet solitude, its cottages, suites and lodges sit among forests and lawns, with features including fireplaces and outdoor spaces like decks or porches. This being Napa Valley, there are daily wine receptions; but the extravagances at this country estate don’t stop there. There’s a 3 Michelin star restaurant, a soothing health spa, two outdoor swimming pools (one for families, the other for adults), and endless leisure pursuits (like golf, tennis, croquet, hiking, and even Zumba and yoga classes). And, if you’re tempted to leave this luxury, the complimentary house car can take you to downtown Yountville or St Helena.

We were so disappointed in our stay that we actually moved hotels. This placed is so over rated and beyond over priced. I’ve never felt more taken advantage of. They should have never opened so early as they were not prepared. Don’t waste your money on such an average experience. Such a shame because we expected so much!!

My husband and I spent 4 days at Meadowood to enjoy a mini-honeymoon that was in driving distance from our home! Despite some of the amenities not being fully available given the COVID restrictions, we had a fabulous time nonetheless. Check in and check out was super easy and I hope they continue this post-COVID as it was actually a better customer experience to be able to go straight to our room for check in. Check out was a simple call to the front desk to confirm the bill. We spent a lot of time by the pool and treated with exceptional food and service. We tried almost everything on the lunch menu and enjoyed every one of them! We also did a hike around the property, which was pretty tough! Thankfully the trail has bottled water along the way as we needed it! We stayed in a cottage room, which was spacious, beautifully decorated, clean and had a lovely patio. The room felt very private as you look out to the bush. It was the perfect outlook to wake up to and go back to at the end of the day. Read less
