Our trip was to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. The staff at the hotel were exceptional, they made us feel so special. I would recommend this establishment to any couple looking for a weekend away...you won't be disappointed!

The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn treated us well from the get-go. While there was limited self-parking, they'll valet for free if it's full. The lobby was, as you expect, wonderful. The firepits out front make having a drink outdoors very charming and comfortable. Thje food from the bar was fine (neither amazing or less than "good"), the gym had… Read more

TIP: For those wondering, you really want a car if you're doing Somona wine tasting. There isn't much transportation, and there's a shortage of rideshare in the evening Read less

The hotel around due to the wildfire in Sonoma county. Beautiful grounds. Very hard to find the room. No staff around to assist late at night. Self parking is far away, no security to be seen. Only stayed for half of the night, for business reasons. Perhaps over a longer period of stay, it may have been different.

Excellent treatment by staff and massage therapist. My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at an excellent facility. We will definitely come back and I highly recommend a long visit to this wonderful spa.

I have stayed at this hotel so many times over the years for family celebrations, including my mother's 70th birthday and my brother's wedding. Given the fact that I wrote an earlier review saying I would NEVER return, I felt like I need to do a new review. My husband and I were there in late September 2019 and had a really positive experience. As we have several other times before, we were celebrating my birthday with another couple. The hotel has been updated since our last visit and our room was quiet and very comfortable. We took advantage of the afternoon wine tasting, sat at the bar and also the fire pit for evening cocktails. There are more places to sit and it seems like more people are using these spaces into the evening than on past visits, which was nice to see. We also took advantage of the free hotel shuttle to town for our evening dinners. The poolside menu was great (I couldn't believe that lobster nachos would be any good, but we had no problem finishing them!). We were a little disappointed that the diner and gift shop were gone, but there is a little coffee shop across the street and the lobby had free morning coffee and "grab and go" style breakfast options for a reasonable price. Gift shop in the spa should expand it's hours. We stopped by twice and it was closed both times! We went on a "hike" to Jack London Park State Park, which was organized by the hotel. I put the hike in quotes because it was more like a walking tour: it was nice, we learned a lot, but don't expect to break a sweat ;-) Read less
