The hotel

Boasting some of Las Vegas’ finest rooms and suites after a $380 million dollar transformation, it’s easy to understand why. The accommodation is divided between four majestic towers with wonderful views of the Las Vegas Strip, the Spring Mountains and the hotel’s incredible pool. Then there's the Tank, as the swimming complex is known, comes complete with a shark tank, 3-storey waterslide and 13 private cabanas for hire. There’s also an infinity pool, aptly named The Hideout, which is strictly for adults only. Other temptations include a superb spa with steam rooms, sauna, massage and beauty treatments plus a state-of-the-art fitness centre to work off those American-sized portions! Several restaurants are at your disposal, including Vic and Anthony’s, one of the country’s finest steakhouses. Alternatively, head to Chart House for sumptuous seafood, Red for Pan-Asian cuisine or Grotto for Italian fare. Come sundown, Troy Liquor Bar is the place to be with a lively atmosphere, DJs and exotic cocktails. An incredible hotel with an incredible range of amenities, look out in particular for the Hand of Faith in the lobby - a 61-pound gold nugget found in Australia in 1980 with a metal detector just six inches below ground – now that’s Lady Luck at her finest!

You can’t beat this pool, abd how clean everywhere feels inside the building. Great location downtown in Fremont Street. Slept like a baby on my white crisp cozy bed with the powerful ac. Shower and tub were nice and clean too

We wanted to stay downtown and chose the Golden Nugget. After reading the reviews, I got nervous. But it turned out ok. We upgraded our room to the 22nd floor in the Rush Tower. We wanted to stay downtown and chose the Golden Nugget. After reading the reviews, I got nervous. But it turned out ok. We upgraded our room to the 22nd floor in the Rush Tower. This means a huge newish room, free coffee, refrigerator, and you need a card key to get to this floor. If you like quiet you need to pay the extra to guarantee the back of the hotel. Fremont Street is very loud all night. Like a concert in your room loud. Our room was in the back side, but there was a music fest back there so it was loud too. Oh well. I just slept with the tv on and was fine. The hotel has a great pool area, lots of restaurants, and seems busy at all hours. I liked the text feature with the front desk. My only real gripe is that they said they’d email my receipt and I never got it. Maybe I’ll text them from home. Read less

Everything was good except the noise outside until 1:00 am. We felt that the front desk did the best they could with 3 people at sign in, but the lines were long, and it was crowded. It was frustrating to watch as premiere players went ahead of those that were in line. We come every year and spend lots of money. It was a little insulting.

We had great stay at the Nugget. There was a long line for check in but it moved quickly. Staff were very helpful and attentive to our needs. Would highly recommend staying. Our room was clean and not noisy.
