Peppermill Resort & Spa

Nevada, USA

The hotel

What started as a simple coffee lounge, opened by two friends in 1971, has evolved into one of Reno’s most spectacular destination hotels. Winning multiple awards for its gaming, dining, and entertainment, Peppermill Reno’s one of those places you could stay inside for months – if you do venture out, you’re right in the shopping and dining district, near downtown Reno, with complimentary parking if you fancy exploring beyond the city limits. Besides the 24-hour casino and Game Lab, featuring retro arcade machines, you get 2 stunning Tuscan-flavoured pools, a 3 storey spa with secret garden, complimentary WiFi, EDGE Nightclub, copious lounges and bars, and 10 restaurants. Dining experiences range from the sublime to the ridiculous (often simultaneously): think tucking into seafood under jellyfish lights, or dining on prime steaks by a virtual aquarium. Every detail is deliciously ostentatious.

This is not a casino with any benefits other then their profit margin. Unconcerned and poor customer service is not a membership benefit I appreciate I would expect that good customer service would increase with the Covid endemic. That has not been my experience and I will be a former member.

Half of restaurants are closed. The one that was open had only ONE server and it was a 2 hour wait. Room service was one and a half hours and double the price. I understand Covid; however, that is ridiculous for a hotel/casino/resort/spa.

My host at Atlantis, Duh Fen Bloom, always make my experience enjoyable. The hotel assigned Duh Fen Bloom to help me with all my businesses at Atlantis. She got me room and restaurant reservations while I enjoy gambling. She came by to say hi and chat to make sure I'm happy. She's very warm and funny. She also invited me to enjoy other entertainment like parties and concerts. Altantis Casino at Reno is a great place to be every summer and Thanksgiving for my family. Read less

The Peppermill is a pretty nice place in comparison to the other Reno Resorts. What made the trip better as the employee, Jerome who checked us in. There were lots of people in the lobby waiting to be issued there room so we figured we had little hope. When we checked in he told us our room, a single king was not available but He was going to try something. Jerome have went to the back and came back out saying he got us in something better. We went to our room and discovered it was a large jacuzzi suite! The jacuzzi was huge too a lot bigger than others I have seen in other resorts too. I made sure I made good use of it. The room was nice and clean. The room was fairly quiet, but the bed was quite firm. Overall it was a good nights rest. I was impressed with our experience and will be back Read less

Checked in pretty early got to my room had my toddler with me who crawls on the ground and she found a gross toe nail and hair tie ! Went to the front desk very nicely and she said she would take off half the room charge or give me credit and she never did. First off the room was cheap and I get it but I paid an extra 60 dollars in resort fees. End of my trip was 400 dollars down the drain. We ended up leaving at 9:00 pm after our horrible time. Checked in at 6:00 am. Will never stay here again rather stay at any other casino. Sooo gross !! Read less
