Harrah's Reno

Nevada, USA

The hotel

Part of Reno’s famed leisure scene, Harrah’s Reno is more than a hotel – it’s a mega-casino, an entertainment destination, and a landmark in the city. Star of the show is, of course, the 60,000 sq ft casino, packed with table games, more than 700 slots, and keno. But high-rollers (and fruit machine fans) have more distractions in store. As well as essentials like WiFi, free parking, and a top downtown location (the nearby Reno Amtrak Station gives easy city access), you get extras like a luxury spa and fitness facilities, headline entertainment from concerts to cabaret, and 7 dining options, including laid-back joints like Starbucks, fine dining venues like Harrah’s Steak House, and the one-of-a-kind Hash House A Go Go, whose huge portions of comfort food appeared on TV’s Man v Food.

It's been a whlie since i visited Reno. Not knowing there was a Wing Fest on that weekend. It turned out to be a pleasant stay, got to try a variety of wings and drinks. Had a blast. As always i love staying in Harras.

Pretty nice casino, very good staff and disappointing room. Traveling with small dogs and stayed on designated pet floor. The slots need to loosen up. The staff without exception went out of their way to be helpful.

We stopped at Harrah's Reno to have dinner. The buffet was fantastic - sooooo many choices. The wait staff was great too. Then we played some video poker. Lots of fun - we didn't win a huge amount - just enough to keep us playing for a while.

We paid for an upgraded room and it was not worth the extra money. The furnishings and carpeting are outdated. However, the bell desk and the check in staff were courteous and helpful. The other hotels have better gambling options and payouts.
