We paid an awful lot for a lot of disappointment. I had to ask 3 times for our sparkling cider before it was finally brought up to our room. It was supposed to be waiting for us in the room at check in along with chocolates that I had to go ask for as well. Now we’re sitting in our room with no way to open our sparkling cider because the front… Read more

Now we’re sitting in our room with no way to open our sparkling cider because the front desk has still not brought our bottle opener. I hope tomorrow is better. This is only our first night. Don’t recommend and won’t be coming back. Read less

we stayed in the family suite with two small children. The room was not as clean as we would have liked and the hallway was very noisy. The water park and pool was a blast. We had a great time but we wish that the hotel room was kept better.

I had heard good things about this resort but don't know that I'd go back. First, I will say the front desk staff was great. Beyond that, the experience was lacking. When we got to the hallway where our room was, someone had left out a tray with dirty glasses and dishes. It was 3p.m. and the tray was not picked up until the next morning. Upon… Read more
I had heard good things about this resort but don't know that I'd go back. First, I will say the front desk staff was great. Beyond that, the experience was lacking. When we got to the hallway where our room was, someone had left out a tray with dirty glasses and dishes. It was 3p.m. and the tray was not picked up until the next morning. Upon entering our room we found that the nightstand had a giant red stain on it. The dresser and headboard were chipped and visibly dinged up. It just didn't feel "clean" The indoor water park area was worse. It's in dire need of an overhaul. The women's bathroom in the pool area were disgusting. Two stalls were closed. One had clearly overflowed. The door was open and it was marked with yellow tape and had a plunger laying on floor. Leaked water was everywhere. It stayed like that for our entire visit. Overall, the indoor pool area felt as if it hadn't been washed in a long time. Tables were not wiped clean, and it felt more like a place I used to hang out when I was a teenager, in someone's garage, with plastic chairs and wobbly tables strewn about. I'm not sure they are following COVID protocols in the waterpark area as people were packed into the lazy river and wave pools. People waiting online for the slides also did not keep a distance. We didn't get much sleep as kids were running up and down the hallways well into the wee hours of the morning. Really bummed out as it's not cheap to stay here. Do no think we will be back. Read less

It was a great time but the first room had a dirty sock in the bed . Second room the door didn't lock and the bathroom sink leaked all over the floor . Maintence came to fix the sink took about 2 hours to actually get them there . Other than that we had fun

My family stayed at the Cape Codder for two nights in February 2021. I had concerns regarding the occupancy limits at the indoor pool due to the pandemic, but we never ran into any issues there and the kids (and adults) really enjoyed the indoor pool area. Due to weather, the outside heated pool was closed. The indoor pool area was very clean, people were spaced out, and the lifeguards were attentive. Overall, my only issue with this property is with the room. I stayed in a "family loft suite," which has a bit more space than a regular room. Even in off-season and during the weekdays (instead of a weekend), this room was pretty expensive, which if the room was in better shape I wouldn't scoff at. However, the only perk of the room I found was the size and the table w/ 4 chairs (good for working or having kids do remote school work). Carpets in hotels rarely work, especially a hotel which attracts families with kids (who are messy). Many many many stains, also absorbs the chlorine smell from the pool. Not a huge deal, though. The suite had 2 bathrooms, which was nice, but they must not have vents when the shower is running because there was visible mold and the glass fogged up, etc. Another issue was the couch, in my opinion if there's going to be a couch in a hotel room, it should be something like pleather/leather, which can be wiped/disinfected easily. The fabric of the couch is not one which can be cleaned. The table in front of the couch was wobbly to the point I was convinced it might fall apart if we used it at all as a table. Overall, to charge that much (even during the week day in the off-season...I can't imagine what they charge for that room in the summer on a weekend) for a room in that condition is just hard to accept. I get you're also paying for the pool, etc. but if I ever stay here again, I would never pay the price I did for that loft suite, I would try to go for one of their more basic/cheap rooms. The jacuzzi tub in the loft was also very worn, I would never use it. Again, carpet around a jacuzzi? There was also a weak spot in the floor right next to it...probably from water damage I would imagine. Hearth 'n Kettle restaurant had really good food, and they always brought the food to the room super fast, kudos to them. The front desk staff was also great. When I was checking in, a not-so-nice guest was giving the employee a hard time, and the staff member did a great job handling the situation and staying calm. I wish I grabbed her name so I could reference that here, but I forgot. Had a great massage at the Beach Plus Spa, they were wonderful as well. To summarize, we enjoyed our stay. The staff was great, the pool was great, the restaurant and area around the hotel was great, etc. Ownership really needs to address the condition of the rooms, though. Read less
