We stayed in one of the Village units. Our unit was recently updated and very nice. Plenty of space for 4 people. The king bed was very comfortable but the fold out couch was very uncomfortable. Bathroom a bit small but big enough for a few days stay. The indoor pool was great! Very large, even with 30 plus kids in the pool still plenty of space. Overall a very good experience. Read less

Our initial room was disgusting- crumbs on counter and floors, carpets not vacuumed, coffee drops in sink and on counter… etc. I called Tracey while in the first room and she immediately went to work to fix the problem of the gross room. Our initial room was disgusting- crumbs on counter and floors, carpets not vacuumed, coffee drops in sink and on counter… etc. I called Tracey while in the first room and she immediately went to work to fix the problem of the gross room. Less than 10 minutes passed and I received a call with a new room. She even offered to have someone meet me with the new keys! (The villages are roughly a mile from the mansion where we checked in). I elected to return to registration and pick up the keys so I could show her the photos I took… anyhow- about 30 minutes out of our two day stay was wasted and then everything was exceptional! The new room had better flooring so I didn’t worry about cleanliness. The new room was clean, disinfected, beautiful and so much more than we expected. Within an hour of being in the new room, I was contacted via email by the general manager. I thought that was great. The registration clerk had already apologized and went above and beyond to improve our stay and now even higher up the chain of command was doing the same. The Harry Potter theme was super cute- my son received a letter of acceptance into Hogwarts! He loved it! They also had options to watch HP movies during our stay. Indoor pool, private beach access, indoor hot tub, and super cute outdoor igloos to enjoy at restaurant or having cocktails inter the stars in the snow! I am very excited to report that what could have been a huge disappointment turned into be a beautiful, comfortable stay on the cape- thanks to emailing staff! Read less

The unit we stayed in, a villa, was large and clean, but the walls are paper thin and we could hear every thing our neighbors said. Every where you look you can see dings, chipped paint, dirty floors, broken things (the screed door at our villa was totally dented.) The facilities, the pools and amenities are ancient. The website mensions that the pools have saunas. Sure. If you want to sit in a wooden closet that was built 40 years ago. I do not like writing bad reviews and tearing a place a part. The people work hard. I could see that. But I also do not like being fooled into thinking I was going to a really high end resort that is really a lower end facility. I could keep going...but I'll stop. Beware. This is a good place if you're not expecting a high end experience. If you're looking for luxury, for a first rate four star experience, do not go there. We booked over the phone for the Britteriges Villages. There were 5 couples total and they did a great job keeping us close in the same building. The rooms were a great value. Though some couples complained they were startled when the A/C in the bedroom kicked on in the middle of the night, we all enjoyed the property. The villages are separated by a main road by about a half mile from the mansion where we checked in. The mansion was old and had creaky floors, heavy doors, dark wood, and other great things you would expect in a mansion. The walk to the beach from the mansion grounds is beautiful. So Cape Cod! Very rustic! The villages are different from the mansion area but just as lovely. This area include the villages for guests along side neighborhood homes. Lots of areas to walk or run and people seem very friendly. Though the restaurant selection is limited within the resort there are many places to choose from right off campus. We played golf 2 times in the 4 days we were there. Beautiful course and well maintained even though almost all the leaves had fallen. Though it was full price they had just aerated the greens. In New Hampshite there are usually small discounts for that. We did apps at the Lynx and the food was excellent! The service was great too. Crystal, I think, took very good care of us. The bar at the turn on both days was a little discombobulated but eventually we got our drinks. Be prepared though a diet coke, a couple peanut butter crackers, and a double Captains and coke was $32. We were not in Kansas anymore! It would have been great if they had prepped sandwiches or a steamed hot dog machine for the turn as well. We did not have a chance to rent bikes but I know it would have been a great ride! The grounds are worth exploring. The rooms were 1 bedroom with a kitchenette and living area. Furniture was in great shape, everything was very clean. The bathroom was a little small but worked for 2 people. The balcony facing Blueberry pond and overlooking overgrowth was surprisingly comforting and peaceful. We were not seeing anyone else's balcony nor hearing anyone else. The only sounds were heard were doors shutting so even the walls between units were well sound proofed. We will definitely come back here! Read less
