After reading some of the reviews from last summer we were definitely a little leery about what we were going to be walking into. Happy to say that after we checked in we had nothing to worry about. We stayed in a 1 BR at Britterige Blueberry Pond. The only thing bad about it was that the view that is on the website of the pond was not the view we had. We had a view of trees and a peek of the pond. Really not a big deal, but want to point that out. We took full advantage of the entire resort, from the pool and Shark Bah, the golf course and the Lynx restaurant, the spa, Ocean Terrace for dinner, the Beach Bar for sunset drinks and a private fire on the beach. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Especially Shannon at the Shark Bah, Pat and the Associate in Training at the Beach Bar, and Jenna who stoked and kept our beach fire going. One thing that could be better would be transportation around the resort. We were told that you have to wait at one of the shuttle stops then it makes it rounds and you get off when its your stop, kind of like a bus. When we've stayed at other resorts of this size, they've had shuttle or golf carts that you would call and would bring you from point A to point B with not stops in between. Fyi, Brewster really isn't a destination town like PTown or Chatham, outside the resort there aren't many thing to do. So happy that we found this place, Would definitely go again. Read less

Image of the Tripadvisor rating A disappointing stay at Ocean Edge Resort

Ocean Edge has so much potential but it falls short in a number of critical ways. We stayed in a one bedroom condo in the Britterige area of the Villages. Ocean Edge has so much potential but it falls short in a number of critical ways. We stayed in a one bedroom condo in the Britterige area of the Villages. It was furnished in a basic but acceptable way aside from the TV wires hanging down from the TV. It was reasonably well equipped with a kitchen and laundry. The worse feature was that the bathroom was tiny and difficult to share. It wouldn’t be good for more than two people. The biggest problem was the common areas and the food. At the restaurant called Linx which is housed at the Golf Shop, the bathroom was dirty and had paper towels on the floor by 11:00am. We mentioned it to the receptionist but it was not taken care of by 2:00 or even 4:00 that afternoon. It’s the only bathroom in the area and heavily used. It was truly gross. In terms of the actual food, we were disappointed when we got a ridiculously tiny piece of fish for dinner at Linx, a Club Sandwich without Bacon at lunch at Ocean Terrace and NO options for lunch for children at the pool. Speaking of the pool, there weren’t enough lounge chairs to go around mostly because there were a bunch of broken chairs scattered around. By the way, these look to be easily fixed. It’s a shame that the management is not paying attention to the details which would elevate the resort to a higher star rating. Read less

We enjoyed all the activities, golf, archery, pickle ball, a bonfire by the beach, etc.. they were all worth the money. The staff at the activities were always available and took good care of us. Our sons felt very special during our vacation, which was great. The restaurants, Linx and the pub were fantastic and the food was excellent at both. We highly recommend this resort and believe it was a great value. Read less
