This is a classic New England old style inn - it is comfortable, clean, but does show its age in a few spots. The included continental breakfast is acceptable, but don't expect anything fancy. Location is great for exploring mystic, and the view over the coastline is really nice. Good spot for a stay, but maybe a little expensive for what you get.

Couples weekend in Mystic. Beautiful property on the hill overlooking the water. Check-in and checkout were easy and painless. A bit crowded this weekend as there was a wedding in the mansion behind the property . Free Continental breakfast in the lobby which suited our needs: coffee, juice, bagels, yogurt, cheese, fruit, cereal. Rooms were clean, updated and had everything we needed . We got a queen suite with fireplace and jacuzzi. We had a private patio, too. Suggest 2nd floor to avoid overhead noise. Big thumbs up to the front desk manager Michelle . She was very pleasant, genuine and full of information on Must-do things and placed to see. Our first night we ate at the restaurant on site : (Michelle gave us a coupon). We really enjoyed our lobster roll and seafood casserole and had a few drinks on the deck overlooking the water. See pics. There is a small pool and tennis courts for the kids. Mystic downtown is very walkable from the hotel but I would drive to the aquarium and old mystic village. Would recommend this inn for location, amenities and staff (esp. Michelle). No complaints. Room was okay, but shower tile was mildewed and tiles were missing on the floor. For close to $300 per night, I'd expect better. Location is good, easy walk to Mystic...most redeeming feature of this motel.

We spent a couple of days touring Mystic and found the Inn to be a great place to walk to town, and jump off for day trips. The Inn is quaint, New England Style and offers great water views and sunsets.
