The restaurant was going through a major renovation and there was a mix up with my Luncheon plan. The Hotel Manager, Michelle Dougherty, did an outstanding job with getting our Luncheon back on track. Due to her last minute scrambling efforts, we had our luncheon on time and with a great menu, dining room and deck and staff. Thank you, Michelle! Read less

I found this place on Groupon and booked based on the good price and location. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. I also chose to upgrade to a room with a whirlpool tub, which was big enough to fit two people. The room also had a fireplace and a small refrigerator. I also chose to upgrade to a room with a whirlpool tub, which was big enough to fit two people. The room also had a fireplace and a small refrigerator. You also got one duraflame log to burn in the fireplace for each night you had booked. There was continental breakfast served in the morning, and they had a wafflemaker that you could use. The staff was very nice and knew a lot about the town and the places to visit. The rooms aren't fancy or modern, but were clean and comfortable. I will happily stay there again on my next trip to Mystic. Read less

The photos you see on the Internet on this hotel are a lie. The lobby was old, run down. The room was also very old and it smelled like mold. I didn't even make it to look at the bathroom. I couldn't stay there. I left. That how bad it was.

There's no two ways about it, this MOTEL is completely falsely advertised. There's no two ways about it, this MOTEL is completely falsely advertised. Booked an *upgraded queen suite* for our honeymoon weekend - one of the nicest rooms they have to offer, upon arrival we absolutely knew this would not be a place for relaxation or a treat yo-self mentality, and we stayed for about 1 hour before checking out and getting a hotel room elsewhere. First - the beautiful house converted into a hotel is not where you actually stay, so idk why there are so many pictures of that building. That is for events. The rooms are motel style down the hill. Room didn't match the pictures - our bed had no headboard, it had a VERY CHEAP metal stand to keep it off the floor and that's it. Where are all of these rooms with beautiful frames? Definitely not in our upgraded suite. Run down - is it old or is it run down? It's run down. Wall paper is pealing, everything is old but not antique, so it's just old. Not charming, weird smell, just not comfortable. We felt tricked into getting this hotel. I'm not sure how it has so many highly rated reviews, it is NOT how it appears on their website or anything. HUGE disappointment and absolutely would not ever consider staying here. Read less

Run down decor with dirty rug. Went to open the pull out couch and nuts fell out; also sheets were filthy. This place has so much potential due to the location and view but our suite was disgusting. Pictures are deceiving.
