This hotel is lovely. Clean, charming and conveniently located. Outdoor pool was nicely situated. Indoor pool looked wonderful, but we did not use it. The balcony offered great views of the bay. We saw boats, eagles, seagulls and an ever changing landscape. A deer crossed our path when we were on the property! We were disappointed that food service was not available onsite and that the fire pit on the deck of the sister property was not lit in the evening (one of the reasons for booking the hotel). The bar area in the hotel looked beautiful, but this was also closed. We did get a decent rate, but COVID took a bit of the shine off the experience. May give it another whirl at some point in time. Friendly staff. Beautiful grounds, well kept. Spectacular views. Watched the sunrise, amazing! Heated pools, one indoor, one outdoor. Plenty of food options near by. Free parking. Very clean rooms. Give it a try, you won't be sorry.

We stayed here as part of a coach tour called Colours of New England, which should be avoided at all costs. The hotel itself was acceptable but there was no dining room and to get something to eat we had to travel by golf buggy, it had been raining and there was a towel on the seat to dry it off so that our clothes did not get wet.

We stayed in the main building and in an upper room overlooking Frenchman Bay. The rooms are large, very confortable, with upscale amenities. The view of the bay is fantastic. Bluenose is a short drive out of the town of Bar Harbor and was quite. Also it is just a short drive to the entrance and ranger station at Acadia.

We loved the fireplace and the huge bathroom with double vanities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The great room with fireplace was a nice place to sit an relax with a glass of wine, read or in the evening listen to the live entertainment. The Looking Glass restaurant had exceptional dining with fabulous Bay views. The Inn is about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown . It was a wonderful stay for us! Read less
