I have been to this Hyatt about 10 times. Depending on what floor/side of the hotel I'm in, it can be amazing or terrible. Before coming here, I always ask for a quiet room. But I know that this is not always possible. When I have a room on the lower floors facing Fore st, I do not sleep at all despite the fact that there are sound machines in every room. Especially one time, there were snow plows and it was so loud that I stayed up the whole night with the sound machine cranked up. Also, Foreplay is right across the street, and that place gets quite loud. When I have.a room that is on the 5th floor or above, or facing the garage, it is very quiet and I can sleep really well. Also, if you are on the 5th floor or higher, you get a really wonderful view of the rooftops and the water. The suite view is worth it if you can get it. I've had some hit or miss situations, but rooms are generally clean and well kept. Beds are very comfortable. One thing that really bothers me is that the bathroom doors don't close. This has been true for every room except the suite- they slide shut but cannot lock. Since this holds true in every room, i think that someone just designed the doors really badly. Some of the bathroom doors had a little piping on the side of the sliding door so you really can't close it- I'm assuming so you can't slam it shut. Also, since you can't close the door, you can hear everything. EVERYTHING. The staff have always been really friendly and accommodating. Consistently. This is the reason why I come back. Read less

A nice, great standard Hyatt hotel, with maybe one of the best locations in Portland. A few blocks from Wharf street and the waterfront. The room is big and has a sitting area. I dont expect the Four Seasons, but for what it is, it is an excellent hotel for couples/weekend getaways and for business. The rooms are comfy and quiet, and has a fridge.… Read more

The price is high during peak season, but I would guess most people book on points as its 15k Hyatt points given its category. A steal for its location! Read less
