Meadowmere Resort

Maine, New England

The hotel

Once a simple inn, The Meadowmere Resort has been transformed into an incredible feature-packed retreat – but it’s never lost the cosy Maine charm it began life with. The family owners have kept its warmth and its original indoor pool, while adding treats like an outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a cosy New England pub, and a health club with spa and fitness spaces. Some features are seasonal, but there’s plenty to occupy you all year, with little gathering spots like the library, tea room, TV room, and games room, home to a pool table, air hockey and video games. Although, with all Ogunquit’s charms just a stroll away, including the white sands, fine and casual dining, shopping, and lobster harbour, you may have little time to enjoy the inn’s attractions.

Our room was upgraded to a king with a jacuzzi and fire place. Very clean. Quiet. Less than a mile to downtown. Accommodating staff. Only wish we stayed longer to take advantage of the other offerings - pools, pub, massage.

Had it not been for the older carpet in my room, I would have given this place a 5 star ranking. The staff is really friendly, the location is near the playhouse, the rooms are very clean, and the maid service is great. I have zero complaints other than the old carpet in my room, which really does need to be replaced. The walk to the beach took… Read more

First of all a big Thank You to Tracey and Marlene who helped out in a bit of a difficult situation (that wasn’t the Meadowmere’s responsibility), all the staff really went out of their way and were extremely accommodating and enjoyable. The Meadowmere has it all, if it’s nice weather there is the outdoor pool and jaccuzzi and if the weather is not so great there’s the indoor pool and Roman Spa (jaccuzzi). Different areas with couches if there are a few friends wanting to meet up. The Hotel’s location is very good, 13 minute walk to the beach (when you consider that beach parking is $30😳) and 7 minutes walk to the Marginal Way. The rooms are nice, bright, clean, good size and their mattresses super comfy. Highly recommend Meadowmere! Read less

This resort had some great amenities. The outdoor pool wasn't olympic sized or anything, but it was nice and clean and next to their on-site restaurant. You could order food and drinks at the pool, and they would deliver them to you poolside. It is just a short walk down a side street to get to the beginning of the Marginal Way footpath. We walked to the beach in about 10 min or so. Also just a short walk from several delicious restaurants, including one that I would highly recommend: the local Mexican restaurant "Banditos". There is also a trolley stop at the edge of the property for those wanting to hop on for a local trolley ride. Read less

This resort is a breath of fresh air! We are longtime visitors to Ogunquit but somehow we’ve never stayed here, I’m so glad we finally did! This was just a quick one night visit for us because we wanted to see Murder on the Orient Express at the Playhouse. (It was fantastic by the way). Meadowmere couldn’t have been a more perfect choice. It’s on the same side of Rt 1 as the Playhouse and a quick walk so we didn’t have to deal with getting out of the playhouse parking lot. But from the minute we arrived we could tell this resort is very well run and it’s quite obvious that the owners care about their guests. I also loved all of the text messages from the resort that I received prior to arrival asking if we had any special requests and then another to welcome us. That was great! The grounds are beautiful with gorgeous flowers everywhere and a lot of nice spots to sit and relax. All of the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful (especially the young lady who was serving drinks and food by the pool) we were there this past Friday Aug 30th so we would like to be sure she is told that she made our stay even better with her smiling service and kind disposition. The room we had (212) was in the main building overlooking the garden and outdoor hot tub. It was sparkling clean and well appointed. Very much the best quality room of any hotel we’ve ever stayed at in Ogunquit. Both pools and both hot tubs were great. The indoor hot tub is really beautiful don’t forget to check that out. There is ice water, coffee, tea and a microwave in the lobby area which was so convenient for us. Everything about Meadowmere was spot on. We travel a lot and it’s refreshing to find a property like this! Thank you to the owners, management and staff of Meadowmere for caring so much about your guests! We couldn’t recommend this place enough...just book it you won’t be disappointed! Read less
