Portland Harbor Hotel

Maine, New England

The hotel

Located in the heart of the Old Port, relax in one of Portland's most inviting hotels. It’s the little things that make a difference when you’re away from home. And Portland Harbor Hotel’s thought of them all – little wonder it’s received the AAA Four Diamond Award for the last 12 years. There’s the complimentary Starbucks coffee each morning; the free bikes for exploring downtown Portland (and free town car if you fancy a more leisurely ride); the bar bites accompanying that day’s martini special at the happy hour; the chance to taste Maine’s famous seafood at Eves at the Garden; and the turndown service with a naughty pre-bedtime chocolate).

Great location near top restaurants, bars, shops, and close to waterfront. Quiet with nice restaurant and courtyard with firepit to gather with friends. Very tastefully decorated rooms. Valet parking with unlimited in/out in the building is convenient.

There was no bikes because of covid, but you can simply wipe them down with a Clorox wipe. I was referred this hotel from a friend, said they had bikes that you can’t air to drive around town, they got room service and everyone was really kind. There was no bikes because of covid, but you can simply wipe them down with a Clorox wipe. Room service was a joke I dealt with the most unprofessional staff ever, I was transferred, hung up on, and after 10 minutes of getting the run around was told that they can do room service. The room was way to expensive for a hotel that didn’t provide cleaning service, room service, or the amenities. I understand there are restrictions due to covid but the lower your hotel room price to make up for that. I was definitely over charged to stay there. Read less

We were very pleased with our stay at Portland Harbor Hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating, our room was clean and comfortable, and you cannot beat the location! We spent a lot of our time in the Old Port area so it was nice to be within walking distance of our room. I would highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Portland!
