This was our fourth visit to Sebasco Harbor Resort, this was the first visit without our kids and it was just as great. This is the place to unplug and dive into a saltwater pool, kayak/paddle board around the islands, take a harbor cruise, play a round of golf, eat lobster, have a massage, candle pin bowl, and watch a sunset. We were lucky enough to explore Harbor Island and Malaga Reserve where we saw not one but two bald eagles, discovered a hidden beach and had an amazing dinner in Holbrooks accessible by boat or a bit of a drive. If your looking for the Maine escape where kids have just as much fun as you, and activities are all there at the resort, I recommend looking into the cabins by the lighthouse. Read less

Sebasco is a classic Maine seaside resort updated for the modern traveler. I travel a lot and the suite was on par with anything I've stayed in. The bed was comfortable and the location quiet and restful. The cheerful and thoughtful staff were truly the highlight of the stay, however, and they made an impression from the moment I drove onto the… Read more

Took the family for dinner Friday night. Our table, as most are, was facing the harbor with a fantastic westerly view. Our server was prompt, polite and gave us her full attention. Our meals were wonderful. I had the sea scollops, my dad and two others had the baked haddock while my mom enjoyed a large garden salad. (so she is a little… Read more

We left room for some blueberry pie that did not disappoint. Read less

In a beautiful location, with its own golf course, but a long way from anywhere else. This hotel is trading on former glories. Our room - a free upgrade to The Lighthouse - was very convenient to the restaurant, and parking was fine. There is no elevator, but staff helped with our bags. The views were beautiful as well, and the room was large, and very comfortably furnished, but very tired. Against that, this resort basically is only open from mid-May to the end of September, which must make it difficult to staff, and to afford to maintain it. So, they were just starting to work on the garden areas, and the outdoor swimming pool was not open - other than in high summer, you would have to be pretty hardy to swim in it any way. It is large but very basic, with pretty rough surfaces and not the most attractive pool you have ever swum in. We ate in the Bar the first night, and the food was okay, with lovely views over the water. Later in the season the outside seating would probably be very pleasant. The second night, we ate in the resturant. There had been some sort of staffing disaster in the kitchen, and we waited over an hour for our main course. We were not alone in this, and most people were therefore not charged for their food. It was a shame, because when the food arrived it was good. The waiting staff and indeed those on reception were all very pleasant, and personally embarrassed by the failings in their service. On the evidence of our visit, whilst all the staff seemed very well-meaning, there was a distinct absence of effective management planning and control. Read less

Short stay to “ check out” Sebasco Harbor Resort. Great location. Very nice staff. Casual. Good good. Nice walking options. Very relaxing. We will go again! If you see one of their “specials”—. Give them a try. Good for families or small group get away!
