A member of the construction crew apologized outside as we loaded our car to leave at 815 am when checkout goes till noon who would stay with all the noise and dust by the dining area??? Read less

Hotel is comfortable and modern. Staff is courteous. TV system is antiquated. Food is pretty good. Location is nice. I stay regularly when I visit my children and grandchildren in the area. It’s nice but nothing special.

Our stay was delightful. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The common areas are relaxing and inviting. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Brunswick, providing easy access to the train station, shops and restaurants, to say nothing of Bowdoin College. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast at the tavern. Delicious! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. Read less

My husband and I visited Brunswick for a quiet getaway and chose this hotel based on mostly positive reviews. We spent 3 days in the hotel. The room furnishings are a bit worn but acceptable. My husband and I visited Brunswick for a quiet getaway and chose this hotel based on mostly positive reviews. We spent 3 days in the hotel. The room furnishings are a bit worn but acceptable. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. That said, there were a few annoyances. In room 302 there was a problem with the HVAC. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work and there was an issue with the A/C. The room was unbearably hot when we got there but once the A/C was turned on, the room was uncomfortably cold. There seems to be only 2 temps (ice cold or very warm). Windows can only be opened a few inches due to safety locks so opening them was not an option. Our main issue was the construction going on in the courtyard area as our room overlooked this area. Each morning the set up began at 7:00 and the power saws and hammering were well underway by 7:30. Of course this is standard for construction but noise like this can ruin an experience if you’re unaware it is going to be happening. If you’re not an early riser, ask for a room away from the courtyard during the next few weeks so they can finish up. Later check out of noon is great but not necessary if you’re up at 7:00 and not by choice. Read less

They had run out of bottled water hence non in the room as advertised. The luncheon haddock in the hotel tavern was delicious but pricey. Did not care for the home made tartar sauce and there were no substitutes. This hotel charged our credit card before we made the trip which they said was the policy for only a one night stay. The breakfast was good but pricey. This hotel stay was just acceptable. Read less
