We've stayed here several times. The rooms are immaculate and well-appointed. The restaurant is excellent. Fresh food, friendly waitstaff. Just one experience at breakfast that was not up to the usual standard. I stayed here once traveling alone on business and got a free upgrade to my room - a pleasant surprise! The staff are showing their kindness and meet customer's expectations. The building is new england style, white building, veranda's. Brunswick - Maine is a nice village. Easy to reach via JFK, Boston or Detroit airport to Portland Jetport. The restaurant services, meals are delicious.

I'm happy to report that the management is doing a great job making sure each room is clean, comfortable and the staff is uniformly warm and helpful and willing to go the extra mile for guests. The weather was cold/wet/snowy during our visit and the staff paid great care to make sure the parking lot and the entry were free of ice. We ate at the hotel several times for dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent and the service was friendly and attentive. The rooms are large here and our king suite had plenty of space so that the three of us could relax comfortably in the room. And you simply cannot beat the location - you can walk into town in about 5 minutes and walk to Bowdoin campus in even less time. If you happen to arrive by train, you are also just minutes from the station. Read less

My wife and I decided to stay here because she wanted to attend the ice bar event that was taking place at the hotel. We arrived late after attending a conference in Boston. We checked in places our luggage in our room and headed to the bar for a drink. We were not happy when we arrived and an employee was closing the doors to the bar. She told us that they had a busy night due to the ice bar event and were closing. Needless to say after a three hour drive we were not pleased. However, after we called the front desk, a bar employee arrived at our room with a few draft beers from the bar. She definitely saved the day. She apologized (it was certainly not her fault) we enjoyed our dink’s in the room. Our suite was very spacious, clean and on the top floor. We had a corner suite that was very quite with a view of the street and parking lot. We definitely loved the suite and the hotel overall. Nice fireplace downstairs. Unfortunately the gas fireplace on the opposite side was not working. We went to the bar the next night and enjoyed happy hour. Three dollar drafts and four dollar glasses of wine was nice. From there we attended the ice bar event. We lived the noon checkout. It gave us time in the morning to have coffee and breakfast before traveling. We’d definitely stay here again. Read less
