I never review a place before even checking out; this place is the exception. Friendly staff helped redirect this wanderer from the wrong place over the phone (this is the Brunswick HOTEL, not the Brunswick INN). My dog LOVES this place. I actually like the $50 pet fee that is not refunded! You get a room that doesn’t smell funny, it’s cheaper than leaving the furry friend at home, and she doesn’t pick up barking behaviors or forget she’s not allowed to poop or pee inside! The location is phenomenal. Much as I’ve loved other desirable hotels in southern Maine (Harraseekett Inn, St Johns in Portland), this place wins the prize for both location and price. I’m fairly “branded” with my Hilton credit card and gazillion points and good parking spot. But this place is so refreshing! Every USB outlet works. The shampoo and conditioner dispensers are eco friendly and filled. So close to the train station, restaurants, and college. Read less

Our room was not cleaned well. Upon arrival, we found a moldy banana and takeout in our fridge, a used cup in the shower and our dog kept finding food on the floor. Outside of this, we had a pleasant stay. There are literally no extras in the rooms right now, including coat hangars which was a bit of a pain. We had filled out a form prior to arriving on what extras we would like in there but nothing was in the room when we arrived. Bed was super comfortable. Read less

Because of COVID19, I first had to first downsize my reservation to one room and, ultimately, cancel my remaining reservation. The first cancellation was in late June, and the second was in early July. To date, neither have been refunded. This establishment doesn't respond to emails in a timely manner, and I could not find a mechanism for cancelling efficiently on their website. When I have called, I have been told that it takes up to 30 days for a refund. However, but 30-days has come and gone, at least for the first cancellation, and no refund has been forth-coming. Very fine hotel. Staff was attentive, rooms were clean, and location was great. They take pride in running a hotel and it shows. We will stay here again. They have good amenities and are close to all that Brunswick as to offer.
