Food is great. Just be prepared for no coffee in your room. No room service. Hike down to lobby bar for Ice and coffee in the AM . In my case, in my pajamas which is not very comfortable for me or the people looking at my fluorescent kangaroo pajamas.

This hotel is on the corner of the Bowdoin campus and a stone's throw from the Amtrak station, so you couldn't ask for anything more in terms of location. The hotel is clean and the staff are well trained. There are not many amenities, and the rooms are simple. Rooms are a touch "used" lookings -- our bathroom floor was stained and the bathroom door needed to be re-hung. The Noble pub serves well-prepared foods and good spirits, literally and figuratively. Like most hotels these days, the pillows were sub-par but the mattress was better than average. Read less

That hasn’t changed, but the hotel beer garden has been transformed into a relaxed companionable and comfortable space dominated by trees and table umbrellas. The food was typical of great pub food, and eclectic enough to please the most discerning, portions were on the plus side of adequate, and pricing was neither expensive nor cheap, but as expected from such a popular place I’m a non-drinker but my companions enjoyed a selection of craft and boutique beers, refreshingly different... Well worth this and many return visits... Read less

I love staying at the Brunswick Hotel and Tavern when I visit my daughter at Bowdoin. We come up often for games, and always love staying here. The lobby is incredibly welcoming and the hotel staff is so friendly and accomodating. The location is perfect for attending on campus events, and a quick walk to Brunswick restaurants.
