I left without a weight on my shoulders. On the morning of the party, I dropped off the decorations, favors, cup cakes, and other party supplies, the management and the staff greeted me and offered to do the set up for me, beautiful job. The waitstaff was great, so personable, always attentive and professional from beginning to end. Our guests truly enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and themselves. The Oceanview Terrace allowed them to gather inside and out, sit and enjoy the ocean views, as well as play horse shoes and beanbag toss. Our party was absolutely wonderful and memorable, just as a celebration should be!  With much love, thanks, and appreciation to the one of a kind team at the Emerson Inn - the Gagnon Family Read less

The staff was friendly and quick to accommodate a substitution that we wanted on the menu. Our seafood dinners were the best we have had in our recent stay. We passed our compliments to the chef in the kitchen. This hotel was clean as was the beautiful swimming pool with an amazing view!! Read less

The rooms were good sized, and were antique (the building was historic and quaint) but well maintained (everything was in good working order with fresh carpet and paint). The bed was very comfortable. The grounds were beautiful, and the staff were awesome. They had a beautiful outside inground pool. The beachline was all rock, but still quite lovely. Each staff person was friendly, polite and helpful. The food was good, and so was the coffee (this is the true measure of a hotel). The wedding had party events both nights, where we pretty much maxed out their event space, but their staff took great care of us. I never had an empty plate or glass in my hand for more than a few moments before someone was kindly offering to remove it for me. Their bartender was great too. Some places just stuck some college kid in there who doesn't know a martini from a mohito. Sean the bartender was fast, and very good. My wife gave some vague instructions on a drink and Sean whipped up something she lived. We called it the Sean Bomb. We would definitely come back for a weekend getaway. Read less

I could best describe the Emerson as "doing the best we can with what we have". It must have been quite something in days gone by with all the Victorian furniture still in evidence. Paid a pretty high price for "Pigeon Cove Room" room. It was just sad, even though there were a couple on new designer chairs and a coat of fresh paint in the room to… Read more

Paid a pretty high price for "Pigeon Cove Room" room. It was just sad, even though there were a couple on new designer chairs and a coat of fresh paint in the room to lift the dreariness. There was no mini fridge, no coffee maker, certainly no chocolates on the pillow and not even a folder telling about the hotel or the nearby activities. Really not happy I chose this hotel. Read less
