The hotel

Nautical New England at its finest, Beauport Hotel is a snapshot of everything you’d expect from a seaside boutique hotel. Located in Gloucester, home to America’s oldest working seaport, it oozes classy coastal chic, accessorised with blue and white fabrics, duck and seagull artwork, maritime-inspired lanterns, and oceanfront dining and drinking decks. Perched along Pavilion Beach, which is washed by the waters of Gloucester Harbor, it's minutes from downtown Rockport’s shopping and dining. It’s just one of the freebies in store, along with WiFi and valet parking. If you want to get your bearings before venturing out, the rooftop delivers views of downtown Gloucester, Harbor Cove, Pavilion Beach, Eastern Point Lighthouse, and Stage Fort Park – although you might get distracted by its rooftop pool, hot tub, and bar.

Hotel is within walking distance of most everything. Try to get a water side view, we got a view of a dumpster- without the view- not worth it, nice lobby bar, and pool area. Little too expensive for what you get

It is difficult to believe in 2019 that there are still people on planet Earth completely oblivious to the health risks of toxic cleaning supplies and toxic chemicals. The gorgeous and wonderful Beauport hotel lobby has a permanent lingering toxic smell resembling bus station cleaning supplies. Adding insult to injury there is a strong highly toxic industrial hydraulic lubricant odor in and around the elevators ... just like what you smell in parking garage elevators at the mall, only stronger: It actually wafts all the way down the hallway into (my) gorgeous guest room. Breathe this stuff and get sick. Otherwise, the Beauport is an amazing property with unique amenities in a beautiful and interesting town. Read less
