The Beauport is a lovely hotel. The staff are exceptional! There are a number of restaurant options: bar scene, inside dining and a deck. The restaurant and deck offer wonderful ocean views. For the prices the food could use a little more finesse.

I'm a local. No one has rooted for this place more than I have. The setting is beautiful, the building top notch. I have left encouraging reviews in the past but they are all grown up now and need to hear this. They are no longer new and cannot rely on the "working out the kinks" excuse with their bar service. No one has trained their bartenders on service. Been there about a dozen times and the service is always lacking- just lazy. Had lunch at the bar today. The bar was not even 1/4 full. We were greeted after a few minutes and we asked for menus and were given one menu to share. We were not asked at that time if we'd like a drink. Ok. 15 minutes later the bartender is chatting with his back to us and we still have not been offered a drink. I waved a couple times and finally got the bartender's attention. This is not the first time service has been lacking. Drinks were good and the food has improved, although the bartender never came back after the food was dropped to see how it was or if we needed anything like another drink, which we did. He forgot the condiments we had requested and took a while to get his attention in the nearly empty bar. Finally, long after the food was cold the condiment arrived on a plate squirted in the shape of a smily face. Fabulous. They have a potential gold mine but everyone I know in town says the service is amateur hour. Step it up. Read less

Dropped in for pre-dinner drinks. Nice seating and good service despite being pretty busy. Server Colleen was very friendly and welcoming. Nice appetizer selection. Parking is a problem however; pretty much all valet.

The fire pit keeps the oceans chill at bay, for those out on the deck, blankets and rockers at every turn. Opulent foyers, fireplaces lit and roaring.. looking forward to our return.. Read less

I order 3 bloody Marys for 3 women and got 3 glasses with bloody Marys. No celery no limes no lemons no olives no nothing! Not even a straw??? Asked for a celery stalk and got an answer... oh you want them dressed?" I said " that would be lovely" bar tender stuck a stalk of celery in each glass and said "here you go". Restaurant service also not very professional. After our meal the waitress brought our check without asking if we wanted dessert or coffee/tea. She said she " assumed we were all set" Read less
