We spent 2 nights at the John Carver Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean. AC worked great. Plenty of towels. We traveled with our three children, ages 8-12. The indoor pool was wonderful. Varying depths all clearly marked, and a water slide that we all enjoyed using. It was not crowded. The pool was very clean. Plenty of… Read more

The location off the hotel is perfect - as we were able to walk to many historic sites. We enjoyed our visit and would stay there again! Read less

Very thin walls. You hear every word. Loud air condition blows straight in your face. Loud fridge and old carpet floor. I think that this not not worth the price. Strongly advice to not stay here. It is a 15 minute walk to the habor.

This was a perfect location to stay in Plymouth with my family. We stayed for three nights at the end of June. You can easily walk to everywhere in Plymouth (even the docks for whale watching), and it’s a very short car ride to the Plimoth Plantation. You can easily walk to everywhere in Plymouth (even the docks for whale watching), and it’s a very short car ride to the Plimoth Plantation. It is an older hotel, but everything seemed clean and our room was comfortable. The kids had a blast at the pool with the water slide. We had discounted food at the hearth and kettle and it was not very good for dinner, but okay for breakfast. Overall, the location made our trip the best. We were able to relax, stroll around and enjoy an absolutely beautiful and peaceful seaside town. Read less

The John Carver Inn was a pleasant enough place to stay, but the hotel, rooms, and pool are dated, just a bit dirty, and... not amazing at all. We stayed along with my children (6 and 5) and their grandparents. The hotel pool has a section that is 3 feet deep, perfect for young children, and then a ~30' x ~20' section that is 4' - 5' deep and… Read more

We stayed along with my children (6 and 5) and their grandparents. The hotel pool has a section that is 3 feet deep, perfect for young children, and then a ~30' x ~20' section that is 4' - 5' deep and then a section for the winding slide to dump into. There is one winding water slide that goes around a pirate ship... and hey, that's cool, but that's it. Otherwise, it's just another hotel pool that could use a bit more cleaning. The pool deck had some hair clumps and the water had a slight cloudiness to it and... just don't look closely... anywhere! Our room was nice enough, the bed was comfortable and clean to the first glance, but the caulking around the rim of the sink was moldy, corners were dirty and... don't look to close anywhere!!! I appreciate that the John Carver Inn is not part of some mega corporation. The staff was friendly enough. And, the rooms were fine, in a great location in Plimouth, and the kids liked the pool, but seriously, don't look too closely at anything!!! Read less

This hotel was amazing. We walked all over Plymouth as this hotel is centrally located. The room was gorgeous and clean. My son LOVED the awesome pool. There is a slide and not tub. We are at their restaurant and the food was amazing. I highly recommend this place for location and service.
