Mirbeau Inn & Spa at the Pinehills

Massachusetts, New England

The hotel

Although in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the Mirbeau combines the amenities of a gracious French manor house with a world-class spa. Yep, you’ll have to remind yourself where you are when you set foot in this gorgeous Inn, which is bursting with elegance and features sumptuous gardens straight out of a Monet painting. Guest rooms are delightful too with oversized bathrooms and stunning views of the gardens or Village Green. The Spa is the place to relax, complete with treatment rooms galore, an indoor pool and aqua terrace with whirlpool. There’s also a state-of-the-art fitness centre and a yoga studio to inspire that Zen mood! The resort is located on the 18th hole of the renowned Rees Jones golf course and adjacent to the Jack Nicklaus course at the Pinehills Golf Club. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, you’re in for a treat teeing off at either of these two with stunning views to accompany you all the way round. At the end of a perfect day, book a table in the Bistro, which serves the very best in comfort food. I have stayed at Mirbeau three times. Warning - do NOT stay on a weekend. Spa was so crowded as was spa pool area. Very oversold. Honestly it’s getting the reputation of being a girls weekend, bachelorette party place. I felt bad for couples who were there as definitely overrun by groups of screaming, loud women. Honestly it’s getting the reputation of being a girls weekend, bachelorette party place. I felt bad for couples who were there as definitely overrun by groups of screaming, loud women. Not the peaceful spa experience that I had had prior. The loud noise went on in the locker room, quiet area, and spa pool outside. Staff did nothing to curb this. Several groups. Will return but never on a weekend. Too bad. Read less

Charming inn with beautiful outdoors and ambiance! The spa is beautiful and relaxing, especially the relaxation room! Highly recommend for a weekend stay for a romantic getaway or a girls retreat. Will definitely visit again!

Though expensive for my family income level, the spa treatments and rooms are a special treat two or three times per year. Local Plymouth restaurants are an alternative to the fine dining of this resort. A special place, unique and elegant, you can expect a nice experience.

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were in love with the place. The room was beautiful and CLEAN! I absolutely can’t stand a dusty room and I could not find any here. The tub was incredible, the food, the spa, and the service was just great. We will be back
