Hotel Vermont

Burlington, Vermont

The hotel

There’s something inherently cool about Hotel Vermont. And its effortlessly quirky edge makes you feel cooler just for staying there. Completely down-to-earth, it takes you back to nature in its dining venues and guestrooms, where oversized wooden headboards, stone tiles and woolly blankets fuse earthy modesty with urban polish. It may have its soul in unspoilt nature, but both feet are firmly in the gadget-packed present, with all the mod cons you’d expect, and plenty you’ve never considered, including Vermont’s fastest WiFi, mobile and tablet charging stations, and Instagram Scavenger Hunts with Vermont treats as prizes. Finishing touches include jazz and trivia nights, farm-to-table dining, a yoga studio, and bedtime stories. And they’ve added extras to guarantee a genuine Vermont experience, including the Beer Concierge’s craft brew tours, a local Activities Coordinator, and hotel bicycles.

I stayed at the Hotel Vermont at the end of October and the experience was nothing short of amazing. Staff was extremely attentive, decor was trendy, and the overall experience was great! It is in close walking distance to the center of Burlington, Vermont and boasts amazing views. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat!

I stayed here over a weekend recently while in Burlington for work, and it was way too short of a visit if you ask me. This hotel is so charming and welcoming, with comfortable rooms and lobby. The staff was very friendly, and my room (standard queen bed) was spacious and quiet, with separate bath and WC to provide even more luxury feels. My room was on the 2nd floor and not too far from the fitness center & yoga room, which is outfitted nicely with quality equipment. Each floor also has its own coffee/tea/fruit/water station so you can fill your room's water bottle with still or sparkling and grab a coffee or tea or apple whenever you like. I had a few drinks and bites at Juniper too, which is cozy and tasty. For my fellow runners, the lakefront biking/walking trail is a few blocks from the hotel and despite the 25F morning it was great to get out there and work off what I ate and drank! Read less

Great location, nice bar with helpful and friendly staff. However rooms are quite small. Doors to toilet and shower are translucent, flooding room with light if the facilities are used at night. For the heating and air conditioning to work door must be locked and bolted, a problem if one person wants to come and go.
