Hotel Vermont

Burlington, Vermont

The hotel

There’s something inherently cool about Hotel Vermont. And its effortlessly quirky edge makes you feel cooler just for staying there. Completely down-to-earth, it takes you back to nature in its dining venues and guestrooms, where oversized wooden headboards, stone tiles and woolly blankets fuse earthy modesty with urban polish. It may have its soul in unspoilt nature, but both feet are firmly in the gadget-packed present, with all the mod cons you’d expect, and plenty you’ve never considered, including Vermont’s fastest WiFi, mobile and tablet charging stations, and Instagram Scavenger Hunts with Vermont treats as prizes. Finishing touches include jazz and trivia nights, farm-to-table dining, a yoga studio, and bedtime stories. And they’ve added extras to guarantee a genuine Vermont experience, including the Beer Concierge’s craft brew tours, a local Activities Coordinator, and hotel bicycles.

Very happy with all the amenities and the room, beautiful hotel! Water and bubbly water on every floor. I believe they had an agreement with hotel next door for use of their pool. My daughter and i felt very well cared for here.

The design of the hotel and the rooms is remarkable. Handcrafting and lots of wood detailing throughout. Super-comfortable platform beds. Thoughtful small touches: excellent local soaps, and bathrobes. Clean & quiet. Covered parking is adjacent for a small overnight fee. An afternoon local cheese plate and fresh fruit was available at the lobby on each floor, and coffee and fresh croissants appeared in the same spot in the morning. Juniper, their lounge and restaurant was well-appointed, efficiently staffed and produced mouth-watering breakfast/brunch specials (the chilaquiles are highly recommended.) Tastefully designed, and well located for all Burlington attractions. We'll be back. Read less

I recommend this hotel to my parents when they come to town. Also to friends. Everybody I've sent there is happy. Clean, friendly service and centrally located. It's one of the newer hotels in town which is always a plus.

We only had breakfast in the restaurant but those were really good. We’ll try dinner here next time. The hotel is nicely situated with lots within easy walking distance. There are very minor quibbles, such as no in-room safes, but, even there, resources are available if one wants to store something securely Read less

This is literally my favorite hotel. We have been here three times this year and I would come back again next week. I am sitting at the bar, enjoying a Maine soda and my husband is sipping a hill farmstead draft. When we drove up, Nick remember us and offered to help with whatever we needed. Such an amazing thing to be remembered. Checking in the front desk staff is so welcoming. Tim made sure we had a room that completely met our needs and gave us perfect food suggestions. Things I love (and they are silly), the water bottles in your room with a sparkling and still dispenser on each floor along with coffee, tea and fruit. The wooden pencil and graph paper notebook that I use for counting my knitting stitch’s for months afterwards. Not silly - the comphy mattress, bedding and pillows along with wool blankets and Vermont flannel company robes. The lovely shampoo, soap etc and the walk in showers. Mostly though - the vibe - warm, friendly and relaxing. Read less
