Stowe Mountain Lodge

Stowe, Vermont

The hotel

This luxury lodge has definitely earned its bragging rights – New England’s only ski-in/ski-out lodge, it immerses you in mountain life from its location to its look. Dressed for the occasion in Vermont timber and stone, it has all the romance of an alpine cabin, but all the indulgences of a luxury lodge, including WiFi, a super-sized spa and wellness centre, boutiques, the fine artisan dining of Solstice Restaurant, and the casual bistro and microbrewery treats of Hourglass Lounge. For some, its spectacular setting’s best experienced from its outdoor pool and hot tubs, where you can lounge back and soak up views of Mount Mansfield. For others, it’s by getting out there – and Stowe Mountain Lodge’s Alpine Concierge® will help set you off on anything from snowshoe tours in search of frozen waterfalls to rounds of golf at Stowe Mountain Club.

They changed my room rate for one night and charged me $109 more w/o letting me know. I found out as I was checking out and the Assistant Front Desk manager Michael Jacobsen would not accommodate. I have a call into the Managing Director Scott Huntsman and he has not returned my call. I would not recommend this property for the prices. I was looking for a sales conference site for my entire staff but I have crossed this property off my list. Read less

The Lodge at Stowe is a beautiful location with lots of room to roam outdoors and explore the mountain and grounds but the interior of the Lodge is awkwardly designed/renovated with long, narrow passageways. The food was inconsistent-we enjoyed a wonderful meal and service at the Solstice fine dining restaurant but mediocre food at the lunch restaurant (The dry, overcooked, thin hamburger resembled a hockey puck). Cleanliness in the common areas was lacking-we observed a broken/shattered wine glass for two days near our elevator outside our guest rooms. The bell staff and front desk staff are most gracious-the fitness center was well equipped though we were disappointed to see the hotel charges $20 per person for each yoga class. Read less

Loved the property, food and cocktails but staff was unaccommodating with requests at the end of my stay. Also, attention to detail around the property left a little to be designed. Cocktail and wine glasses left for days in elevator vestibules.

We live in the South, where summet can be hot and humid. Stowe is a great place to escape and enjoy the more mild climate and laid back atmosphere. The Lodge is busy/expensive in winter, very reasonable in summer.
