Stowe Mountain Lodge

Stowe, Vermont

The hotel

This luxury lodge has definitely earned its bragging rights – New England’s only ski-in/ski-out lodge, it immerses you in mountain life from its location to its look. Dressed for the occasion in Vermont timber and stone, it has all the romance of an alpine cabin, but all the indulgences of a luxury lodge, including WiFi, a super-sized spa and wellness centre, boutiques, the fine artisan dining of Solstice Restaurant, and the casual bistro and microbrewery treats of Hourglass Lounge. For some, its spectacular setting’s best experienced from its outdoor pool and hot tubs, where you can lounge back and soak up views of Mount Mansfield. For others, it’s by getting out there – and Stowe Mountain Lodge’s Alpine Concierge® will help set you off on anything from snowshoe tours in search of frozen waterfalls to rounds of golf at Stowe Mountain Club.

Overall nice facility. Watch out for add on taxes and fees. Solistice was OK seating was strange and not well done. Great workout facility and pool was definitely being used by many guests. Thought the spa was pricey but it usually is in these types of hotels. Room was very nice but TV is small. Our view was terrible but it didn't matter to… Read more

The staff is very friendly and gave lots of great recommendations on things to do and some of the various restaurants Stowe has to offer. The rooms are very large and have great views of the mountain. The only minor thing that came up during the stay is the struggle with pillow options, we asked a couple of times for memory foam pillows and each time a different type of pillow came, none foam based. It would have been nice for the rooms to come with a little more information on the area, mountain and other things to do but the concierge was more than helpful when we did ask. I would go back in the winter because of the convenience of the mountains but maybe look at some other options during the other times of the year since there was not as much open in the immediate area while we were there. I had a view of Spruce Peak and the Village. Now I know why they re-named it Spruce Peak. The beauty is in the south side! You feel like the setting is Vail or any village type atmosphere. I have to peel myself away every time I leave, love it that much. Cannot recommend it enough. The staff, food and atmosphere in general make it such a warm and… Read more

By far, the best accommodations in the East. Spa and fitness center is so well done. The rooms are huge, and recently remodeled. Always look forward to getting there! The bar has great service, and the staff is wonderful. It’s quite expensive, but a place like this should be.
