Stowe Mountain Lodge

Stowe, Vermont

The hotel

This luxury lodge has definitely earned its bragging rights – New England’s only ski-in/ski-out lodge, it immerses you in mountain life from its location to its look. Dressed for the occasion in Vermont timber and stone, it has all the romance of an alpine cabin, but all the indulgences of a luxury lodge, including WiFi, a super-sized spa and wellness centre, boutiques, the fine artisan dining of Solstice Restaurant, and the casual bistro and microbrewery treats of Hourglass Lounge. For some, its spectacular setting’s best experienced from its outdoor pool and hot tubs, where you can lounge back and soak up views of Mount Mansfield. For others, it’s by getting out there – and Stowe Mountain Lodge’s Alpine Concierge® will help set you off on anything from snowshoe tours in search of frozen waterfalls to rounds of golf at Stowe Mountain Club.

One of the best views from your room; service was great. Staff was quick to greet you at arrival. complimentary valet is nice, but not good if you tend to forget stuff in your car. Value is best during off season.

Decent place for a business trip minus some hiccups that were beyond the control of anyone there. I was impressed with the staff I worked with. Sleep was a major issue and with better planning, this might improve.

Beautiful spot, nice rooms. Food pretty awful. Getting tired of being charged $10 for a can of beer. Food pretty expensive and not very good...not many vegetables or salad options. The property is great, village nice—but everything premium-priced.

I stayed here for a conference and added an extra day. It was a great time, the spa was awesome, they have a great heated outdoor pool and hot tubs. We had great food, and I would say the only surprise was the pricing of drinks. Wine by the glass and well drinks were steep. A coke at lunch was $4. I would recommend The Lodge at Spruce Peak to… Read more
