The young lady at the front desk was exceptional. She was friendly and energetic. She took the time to show us around and even walked us to the cafe for lunch to made sure we found it. It was a delightful first impression. Danielle in the salon did our pedicures. She was professional, friendly and meticulous. I myself am a salon owner with many… Read more

It was a delightful first impression. Danielle in the salon did our pedicures. She was professional, friendly and meticulous. I myself am a salon owner with many years of (customer service) experience and found the Stoweflake Spa a ‘well oiled machine’. Beautiful Spa, well stocked, clean. A lovely experience. Read less

I've never in my life experienced such a dismal, doomed feeling as I did upon entering my room at Stoweflake. I've never in my life experienced such a dismal, doomed feeling as I did upon entering my room at Stoweflake. Whatever efforts are being made by the staff (who were all pleasant to deal with), the facility itself is TRAGIC. This is a "luxury spa" with a "two-person soaking Jacuzzi tub" where the hot water from the tap comes out the color of Lipton Tea!!! When I complained to the front desk about this, the man's response was, "Yeah, we've had problems with the water for years." YOU ARE RUNNING A SPA THAT ADVERTISES RELAXATION! I felt like I was the victim of a practical joke, except that no one was laughing. Before room service could bring our disgusting disaster of a breakfast, we had two maintenance guys banging on the door with their tools to "take a look at the tub." An hour later, a bellman appears with keys to a "suite" down the hall - guess what color the water was in *that* tub? The same brown! Did the jacuzzi work? Again, it did not. WHY WOULD YOU MOVE US TO ANOTHER BUSTED ROOM WITH THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS?! When they offered to move us AGAIN, we just refused and gave up the idea of soaking in the room. The furnishings and finish of the entire resort are straight out of 1992. The "breathtaking" view on the "mountainside" was of a parking lot and a wastewater pump field. I feel very sorry for the people working at this facility. They are required to muster an extreme amount of denial just to show up for work and pretend it's a "luxury" spa. When I registered my extreme protest at the front desk, I was at first given a $25 per night credit, and, later, after departing angrily, was credited back one night's room charges. To be quite honest, I would gladly pay TWICE that amount of money if I could ERASE the memory of this nightmarish birthday weekend from my mind! Read less

should include breakfast for over 350 dollars per night, not to mention that decor and interior were old looking. Everything seemed to be so far away from another, hotel desk, restaurant, spa, etc. Not enough towels left in room, when came back to room later that day, not vacuumed or cleaned up very well other than made bed. First time for a family holiday in Stowe, we have thoroughly enjoyed staying at Stoweflake. Good size rooms and we have loved the fires throughout as well as the hot tub of an evening after skiing. Great location with restaurants and coffee shops nearby, would love to stay again.

This was a fantastic experience all the way around! The front desk crew arranged for an early check-in so that we could get settled in prior to our spa experience. The spa crew was also wonderfully accommodating and arranged for myself and 3 young adult daughters to have massages within the same time frame. This involved calling 2 additional massage therapists. Gabrielle from the spa called me to confirm this was arranged. They had 2 extra robes waiting in our room when we arrived. There was also a signed birthday card and caramels for the one celebrating a birthday. The front desk crew emailed me that our room was available whenever we got there. The entire staff was pleasant and inviting. An overall fabulous experience! Read less
