1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge

New York, USA

The hotel

There’s more than a ‘nod to nature’ at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge – it’s eco-friendly to its very core, from your room’s organic bedding to the nature-inspired children’s activities, daily Lobby Farmstand, use of reclaimed barn wood, and local artisanal products at the picnic-style restaurant. Style doesn’t suffer for sustainability, with features like corrugated leather headboards, gritty blackened steel, crate-style slatted closets, and a pop-up beer garden all giving the hotel a cool and contemporary edge. And they haven’t sacrificed those urban hotel essentials either, so you get complimentary WiFi, the Bamford Haybarn Spa, and a free shuttle into Manhattan (in a Tesla electric vehicle naturally) – although you could just stroll over nearby Brooklyn Bridge instead. But it’s the social buzz and views that make this place special, with the best enjoyed while sipping handcrafted cocktails on the rooftop pool terrace.

After our stay I noticed a suspicious charge on my credit card and asked several times their customer service for an explanation; never got an answer. This is unacceptable for a high level hotel; just disrespectful

This hotel has most of the amenities one would want with ultra-modern room concepts. However, no pens or paper in the room or elsewhere around the facility (I guess a thumbs only community). Anyway, its situated in the heart of great Brooklyn spots, including my favorite - The River Cafe! Also, the views were simply spectacular - Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, and of course the Brooklyn Bridge. Worth a few nights stay. Our familiar host - Kiki - was the ultimate in warm, professional service with a SMILE!!! Read less

To me this is the top Eco Resort in NYC. The decorum is amazing. The service/people super friendly. The food and drink stellar. The type of folks that would take you to the airport in a jam or help you move in a jam. All the Eco-friendly utility within this resort is fascinating and inspiring. The type of folks that would take you to the airport in a jam or help you move in a jam. All the Eco-friendly utility within this resort is fascinating and inspiring. The rooms are cozy yet the bathroom is adequately spacious. The view of Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge are epic. My GF and I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and back. It was one of the more memorable experience of my adult life. I had such an amazing time and got GREAT exercise. The roof top at this hotel is one of the best experiences in Western Hemisphere, bare none. There is something blissfully haunting about it. No joke. The location in terms of things to do whilst walking is phenemonial. World class restaurants and pizzerias on every corner. History, industry, culture and the arts all balled into one! Interesting, inspired people everywhere you look. Every vantage point in the area is like that of a major feature film. The beautiful park in front of the hotel, is fantastic for walks and picture taking. Again, movie making material. The screening room is brilliant. ATTN: all serious film makers, this is the PLACE to host your screening,NO DOUBT about it! This hotel and location is a pinnacle in within the Luxury / Eco hospitality experience. This hotel is the superlative in the space - Luxury / Eco. No doubt about it! I highly recommend the 1 Hotel BK for your next luxury travel experience! This place is EPIC! Read less

Yes, this place is trendy but to the point that it’s at times annoying: the room has precious little real estate to put your stuff or a tray, so if you’re trying to eat in your room, your bed is your table. In fact, the only area that would work for that is instead covered with a trendy moss garden. We also woke up in the middle of the night… Read more

In fact, the only area that would work for that is instead covered with a trendy moss garden. We also woke up in the middle of the night because that super trendy 4’ solid block of wood in the shower that holds shampoo, etc. came crashing down...it was “secured” with 2 suction cups to the wall...what? I love the concept of sustainability but practicality shouldn’t have to take a back seat. Also, If you’re taller than 5’6”, get used to your feet dangling off the bed at the bottom if you stretch out. Service is nice even though we ended up taking our own luggage down at the end of the trip. All considered, this place is overpriced. Read less
