The hotel was outstanding, the staff was great and the room was clean. However, the restaurant and room service were not available and that was not mentioned in any of the emails you get leading up to the stay. The staff said the restaurant was in fact closed but room service was available but when we called it just rang and rang. Great spot if… Read more

I stayed at the Millennium Hilton New York Downtown recently due to its proximity to my office. I am also a Hilton Honors Gold member and was excited to return to a Hilton property for the first time since the pandemic began. This hotel was a disappointment. Upon arrival I wanted to check my bag as my coworkers were leaving for a team dinner. I was told that they could not check my bag because there was not a bellman and no one else would be able to assist me. So I had to take my bag to my room. Not a big deal but an inconvenience nonetheless. Fortunately I had upgraded my room and had a wonderful view of the 9/11 memorial on one side and a wall of windows facing the north on the other. The view was truly spectacular. However, the room was not. The carpet was very old and the room in general felt very dingy. I went to use the coffee maker in the morning and there were no cups to put the coffee in. The room was very cold and when I went to raise the temperature on the thermostat a very foul burning smell came out of the air conditioning unit. Further, the curtains felt old and dirty and in need of replacement. I think this is a property with a great location, great views, and good bones. I just think that Covid has hit it hard in terms of staffing and it is in dire need of a renovation. Read less

Hotel was clean, beautiful and very centrally located. I was upgraded to a lovely room, and breakfast was included as a Hilton Honors benefit. The staff was attentive and gave me a little later check out that I needed due to a meeting.

This was my second time here. None of the amenities are open but I knew that going in. Parking is a 5 minute walk away. Hotel staff fully masked. Guests not so much even though it says on the door to mask and social distance. My room was clean. Everything worked. Guests not so much even though it says on the door to mask and social distance. My room was clean. Everything worked. The carpets could use some updating and it would be nice to have a fridge and a microwave since the bars and restaurants are closed in the hotel. It was $35 to rent the fridge. The bellman, front desk and maintenance staff were all friendly and accommodating. There is hand sanitizer everywhere. The doors all have enclosures in front of them as an extra layer of protection I guess. I really have minimal complaints. There is plenty to do and see in the area. Numerous places to eat. I had a nice 3 day stay. Read less
