The Standard Highline

Greenwich Village, New York

The hotel

There’s nothing standard about The Standard, High Line. Located on the High Line (a disused rail track that’s become a ‘go to’ sight for travellers and a ‘go to’ park for New Yorkers), The Standard has a cool Meatpacking District address. Its sepia and white rooms have a slight 70s vibe with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views over Manhattan or the Hudson River (or both). Sociable from top to toe, the penthouse floor belongs to Le Bain, a rooftop club that stays open until 4am most nights, while the street level brings you the pretzels, sausages, and beers of The Standard Biergarten, and the seaside-inspired menu of The Standard SeaShack.

We have thrown two events at the Standard High Line. For both events the event staff was very friendly, professional and thoughtful about our specific needs. The space is beautiful and convenient, and the food is amazing. We would definitely work with Enza and her team again.

Great boutique hotel located in Chelsea. Had quick lunch at the restaurant (The Grill) before heading back to airport. Everyone was very accommodating. New Executive Chef, Igor Krichmar is doing great food at the restaurant. Can't wait to go back and try dinner.

My husband and I spent the weekend in The Standrad, High Line. The location is great and within walking distance to a lot of stores & restaurants. When checking in and checking out during prime time Friday night & Sunday am there was 1 receptionist. It did take some time so I would suggest heading downstairs a couple minutes early. The room was a standard size for a NYC hotel room. Our view was amazing! I was skeptical about staying in a "hippy & young" hotel with the night life but we had no crazy neighbors. The downstairs lobby/bar was quaint & cozy. The service was great & the food was amazing! The staff was friendly. I highly suggest this hotel! Read less
