The Standard Highline

Greenwich Village, New York

The hotel

There’s nothing standard about The Standard, High Line. Located on the High Line (a disused rail track that’s become a ‘go to’ sight for travellers and a ‘go to’ park for New Yorkers), The Standard has a cool Meatpacking District address. Its sepia and white rooms have a slight 70s vibe with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views over Manhattan or the Hudson River (or both). Sociable from top to toe, the penthouse floor belongs to Le Bain, a rooftop club that stays open until 4am most nights, while the street level brings you the pretzels, sausages, and beers of The Standard Biergarten, and the seaside-inspired menu of The Standard SeaShack.

The staff at the standard grill are 5 star , Jake , John & the manager treated my guest and I like royalty. They went above and beyond to meet our last minute accommodations which really showed the true meaning of hospitality! I left feeling amazing , thank you so much ! New York is not dead.

Superb service and cleanliness. I always enjoy my stay at the Standard and am grateful for the friendly employees who make the hotel feel like home away from home. Rooms are spacious (by NY standards) clean and all have excellent views of the city. I highly recommend a stay here!

As a frequent traveler of New York City, I picked The Standard for its great location, but the poor condition of the hotel was shocking. It looks as if it has not been updated since it opened. The hotel is dated and run down. The room was freezing even though we turned the temperature up to 90 degrees. The glass shower is really weird and makes it hard if you're not there with a romantic partner. Although the location is great, I would not pay that money again. It's not worth it. There are other great hotels at that price point that are… Read more

Beautiful property with amazing staff! We stayed here for a special occasion and everyone were so accommodating with my requests. Thank you so much for helping me make this, in my boyfriend's words, his best birthday ever.
