Now I gave 4 stars because upon arrival the young lady at the desk really shocked me by telling me that the deposit was $400.00. This was unexpected. When she saw my reaction she immediately said that she would see if she could lower the price. She "supposedly" lowered it to $200.00 to which I gave permission for. When I later checked my account they had in fact taken the $400.00. I went down to the desk and the manager John came out to explain the cost and that they cannot change this fee for anyone or any reason. I don't understand why he didn't tell her that she could not do that and it would not be accepted in the system. Corporate should consider the cost of the deposit. This would be the only reason (so far) that I would not stay here again. John was great though and as I said he explained it and answered any questions or concerns. I would stay here again without any hesitation (except for the misunderstanding in the deposit). Taking the $400.00 in the manner that they did, is just unacceptable. I will update this in a couple of days. Any complaint I had they sent someone up quickly. My stay is from 2/24 - 2/28. Read less

I arrived at JFK the evening of January 29th toasted like a bagel from a nine-hour flight from Spain that ended in Iberia Airlines losing my bag. Just a quick note from an appreciative Hampton Inn customer. I arrived at JFK the evening of January 29th toasted like a bagel from a nine-hour flight from Spain that ended in Iberia Airlines losing my bag. The staff, from Jamela and Ivy at the front desk to Carl in the shuttle van couldn’t have been kinder, more accommodating, or more patient with a very tired me. Ivy even gave me all the toiletries I needed to get by during my stay, which I very much appreciated. Travelers can be hard work, and especially during a pandemic that leaves all of us a little more on edge. So I was grateful to the Hampton Inn JFK staff for putting in the kind of extra effort and attention that makes for a memorable stay. Read less

I've stayed at this hotel a few times and it has gone downhill in terms of quality and care. The rooms are very outdated. The air and heat sound like a blow dryer VERY LOUD the whole time it is on. I moved rooms thinking it was just that room.. nope it was the next room i was moved too as well. It was so bad I could not sleep well. I would not… Read more

My husband is a diamond Hilton Honors member, so we are very familiar w/Hilton properties. This location was a disappointment from the moment I entered. The woman at the front desk barked something at me through her mask and the plexiglass shield. I didn’t understand her, and she repeated herself twice before I simply stated that we were diamond members, and I had a reservation. She checked me in, I proceeded to my blah, not very comfortable room. I was amazed at the poor quality of the toilet tissue. It was 1ply and felt like sandpaper. Not what I would expect from a Hilton. I went to the restaurant to pick up something to eat in my room (no restaurant seating due to Covid) The menu was HUGELY abbreviated , also due to Covid. The prices were astronomical for what I got. Food was ok , but IN NO WAY worth $51.00 for a salad and some calamari. Then, in the morning when I called the front desk, I was told they only had airport shuttle every 30mins. ( Rude agent at check in should’ve mentioned this) So, I had to throw my things together and run down to catch the shuttle that was leaving in 5minutes. Imagine my horror to see the van BURSTING AT THE SEAMS w/travelers. I had to get on this overcrowded van, closed in with others inches apart for the 20minute ride to the a/p. In this time of pandemic, Hilton should provide more frequent shuttles at an airport hotel so as not to jeopardize the health and safety of their guests AND their drivers. I was WILDLY uncomfortable to be on that overcrowded van and hope I wax not exposed to any potentially deadly virus. Read less

Visualize the body imprint from memory foam immediately after some just got up. That's what my mattress looks like, even before pulling back the sheets and getting into bed. This place has such potential. Like I said, just needs TLC (and new mattresses). Read less
