Midtown, New York

The hotel

There’s a distinct ambience of luxury as soon as you step foot in The Nash, the lobby is gorgeous enough! The apartments too – ranging from studios to two bedroom – are also something to behold, thoughtfully designed to offer style as well as comfort. Italian-style fully equipped kitchens are ideal for those who want to self-cater or enjoy breakfast at their own pace before a day out. There’s also a gym facility on offer or head to the landscaped roof deck to relax instead – it’s a great place for pre-dinner drinks and barbeques. As all sights are close by, it’s easy to get around on foot but you’re also close to the Grand Central terminal if you want to venture further afield.

Facilities were very good everything you need for a short break, the fitness centre was also of a decent quality. The roof terrace gives spectacular views especially at sunrise and was lovely to just sit late in the afternoon sun after the madness of NYC. Only downside, couldn’t turn the AC off and the suite could have done with a bit more space (but let’s face it space is a massive premium in New York) but the location made up for it. 👍👍 Read less

Now about the bad Hotel cleaning is not carried out at all; we got a room; everywhere there was dust and greasy spots on the cupboard and table. The glasses on the windows were all dirty and it was not pleasant to look out the window. The company "CLEANIN RAINBOW" which cleans these hotel rooms is very poorly cleaned by a bad housekeeper. I saw how the girl Housekeeper from the company CLEANIN RAINBOW cleaned another number and stole things from another room where she cleaned. This hotel knows that the Housekeeper girls who work for them steal things from the customers of this hotel. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. If you do not want to be robbed. Read less

This was my family’s first trip to New York. Staying at the Nash made it a comfortable one. We had plenty of room for the five of us and the connecting doors between the two apartments allowed for freedom to move between the two but also privacy for the teens when they needed it. The people at front desk were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. We were able to walk to almost everywhere. If we wanted to subway it, Grand Central terminal was barely a five minute walk. The apartment was clean; lots of fresh towels which were topped up mid stay and the kitchen was full of all equipment you might need (except kettle- I recommend bringing one along if you like your morning tea). But they do provide a coffee machine! There’s an iron and board and basket and washing powder if you wanted to use the laundry room. The gym downstairs was a big hit with my husband and eldest son. Only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that the windows were really dirty and we couldn’t open them. But the air con was excellent so we never felt hot or uncomfortable. All in all, we had a fabulous stay at the Nash and would recommend it for any family staying in New York. Some previous reviews commented on it being noisy- this is New York! The city that never sleeps. Don’t come here for peace and quiet. Read less

Stayed here in January for 5 nights. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room! We had a large double bed, a sofa and coffee table, large TV, god knows how many cable channels, a DVD player (which we didn't use) and a kitchenette and bathroom. We had complimentary shampoo etc and also complimentary coffee with a proper filter coffee machine. They even included decaf coffee which I was delighted about since I can't drink ordinary coffee. Also in the kitchen they had provided dishwasher soap and scrubbing pads and even washing powder. It really was a home from home. Please note this is not a hotel so if you want your bed making - make it yourself! Having said this, you do get fresh towels delivered but if you want someone to clean up you can book this (as well as your bed making) but you will be charged. Of course we were not bothered about this as it's not biggie making the bed! I would say that the heater was a little noisy at night but other than that the bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. There is a rooftop terrace but being January it was closed the first night then after that we found the furniture had been covered up for the Winter. It was freezing up there but fantastic views!! There was even a common room up there. I would definitely visit again in the Summer. On a final note, and I wish I had got his name, our shuttle the airport let us down but the concierge on at the time (although I will say they were all very friendly) went above and beyond to sort us out with a last minute frantic taxi to the airport. I really can't thank him enough! We left on 12th January 2019 around 6 - 7 pm. Read less

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for four nights, great location, great room and a very nice rooftop! We bought bagels and ice coffee and had breakfast there in the mornings. You could hear people talking in the corridors through the door but we weren’t affected by it so much. Friendly receptionists!
