Ace Hotel New York

Midtown, New York

The hotel

Ace by name, ace by nature, you’re in for a bit of rock ‘n’ roll when you stay at this unique boutique hotel! Indeed, you’ll find a Gibson guitar in most rooms and a stack of blank sheet music should you fancy composing a song or two. Choose between a guest room with fabulous retro furniture included or a loft room, located on the corners of the building with beautiful bay windows, curvy sofas and palatial bathrooms. Take advantage of the lobby’s photobooth for some artful shots. For dining, the Breslin is hip and happening, taking its style cue from the 19th century with distressed leather upholstery and dark wood panelling. The bar looks like a room from a classic Park Avenue apartment and is perfect to lounge with a cocktail before a night on the town. To wake you up in the morning, grab a gourmet coffee from the Stumptown Coffee Roasters Cafe, head out the door and start all over again!

This is a fantastically done hotel. Very cool vibe and decor. The Coffee/ Bar/ Lounge feel is just perfect. Ace never disappointing, but this stay was very cool as NYC always is fun. I recommend asking for a high floor.

Once again another excellent stay at the Ace NYC— thanks everyone! The Ace doesn’t have a loyalty program, points or platinum thresholds because they’ve opted to have an amazing staff instead. I’d much rather feel secure, accounted for, appreciated and well-fed by a group of fantastic folks than be controlled by some multi-national corporation’s… Read more

I’d much rather feel secure, accounted for, appreciated and well-fed by a group of fantastic folks than be controlled by some multi-national corporation’s marketing department. The Ace NYC is not just my home away from home— my house is sadly the place away from the Ace. Read less

I needed a place to crash for the evening and was able to get a room for the night. The check-in process was seamless. The surrounding area is great for quick walks to grab a bite or partake in local activities. I have stayed at several properties (Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Shoreditch and now, New York) and have always enjoyed my experiences.… Read more

So I wasn’t sure what to expect. I travelled with my son and we got a double room with 2 double beds. It was fairly basic but comfortable. Great view of the Empire State Building. Fantastic location in Nomad and extremely reasonable compared to many other hotels including its sister hotel. I’d recommend it for all of the above. Read less

I stayed at the Ace Hotel for 4 nights - and I gotta tell you, it was great. I never slept so well!! The staff are friendly and responsive. The room was not huge, but laid out very well, and felt more spacious than it probably was. No amenity was spared. Loved the vintage accents with record player and cool records to play. The lobby has such a hip vibe and there were things going every night which made me not go straight up to my room and stay a little longer at the bar before I went to bed. I am happy for my choice and will stay there again and again! Read less
