The room was spacious - especially by New York standards - and the bathroom large, with good counter space, double sinks, and a deep separate soaking tub. My room was on a high floor with a “city view” - so the noise from the construction right across the street was definitely quite loud. With my schedule this wasn’t a big issue for me, though I’m sure it might have been for others. I knew about the noise because I read reviews beforehand! Read less

The one bedroom suite overlooking the Hudson is a great room. The rooftop bar is also great if it's not too crowded. Location is a bit off the beaten path and far from trains. The front desk staff at this hotel are TERRIBLE. They need training in how to deal with good customers who are travel savvy with multiple rooms. Seriously horrible experience. Also, the construction on the city view rooms is insane. The hotel obviously has no control over what is being built around them, but it's a deal breaker. And I'm more than fine with the general street noise of New York City. Hopefully management will read this and get a handle on the customer experience. Read less

My room was extremely spacious and the bathroom was very large with great counter space. My colleague had a much smaller room I am told and did not care for the size. The next morning I was awakened by awful banging and construction noise directly across the street. This made my stay very uncomfortable and has swayed me never to stay here again. The construction starts a little before seven and it almost feels like it is in your room. I did mention it to the front desk and all they said is that they were sorry. I guess I am one and done at this hotel and that’s a shame. Read less

The construction is really hard to endure. I like the hotel and amenities but won't be staying here again until that banging noise stops. I used a free bike to ride on the Hudson River Greenway to Battery Park and back which was super nice after a long flight.

Room air-conditioner didn't function, property didn't explain the amenities available, such as coffee downstairs, complimentary drinks at 6.00pm. Discovered all this on our last day. Made to feel distinctly second class because we didn't book direct, as a result we were allocated rooms on the noisy lower levels. Approached management a number of times to address the broken air-conditioner to be told 'they were busy with guests'. I used to work for IHG and this particular property is quite frankly unworthy of having the IHG brand. Location not anywhere near a subway. Just stay away! Read less
