Hotel Metro is in the heart of midtown Manhattan and you can see the Empire State building from the rooftop which is also a bar at night. The room was quiet, comfortable (other than the pillows being too firm for me) and the employees were very helpful, professional, and friendly. The hotel is currently being renovated at the entrance and throughout, but everything works well and the room and bathroom was all nicely updated. We had a great stay! Read less

We came to New York for my birthday on 28th March, The Metro Hotel was recommended to us and we are so glad it was, from the moment we arrived the staff were fantastic, yes there were renovations going on but no disruption to us. Fantastic location, turn right out of the hotel and your right in the mix. Our room was perfect for our stay. We are… Read more

The reception desk was friendly and efficient and we were given a penthouse suite on the top floor. There was a rooftop terrace with excellent views of the Empire State Building, which is only five minutes walk from the hotel. Our room was well equipped with a very comfortable bed and a huge bathroom with all amenities. THere was free wifi and a well equipped gym on the top floor with elevator access to the foyer where free coffee was available. The hotel is ideally placed for walking around mid-town and there is easy access to the metro for travelling further afield. We had an excellent time and would certainly stay here again when in Manhattan. Read less

I would definitely stay here again, the location is great, close to Penn station, an easy walk to Times Square and in the next street to the Empire State Building (great view from the rooftop bar). Our room was fab - comfortable & plenty large enough with two double beds, We had a fridge stocked with complimentary drinks, coffee maker stocked daily with coffee, great bathroom with a rain shower, fresh towels daily, complimentary toiletries and a bottle of birthday fizz (which we didn't expect, but was hugely appreciated) waiting for us. Friendly and courteous staff, no restaurant here at the time of our stay as it was under renovation but that wasn't a problem. Its a great place to stay in NYC! Read less
