The Good: - Wifi performance - Quality of the bed The Bad: - Old, old, battered furniture - Small in every sense. Bath is small even for a 10 year old - Windows do not keep street noise out, needed ear plugs to sleep (extremely rare for me) - Wifi wants your personal credentials for free access (NO WAY!) - No bar, lounge or anything like it.

We had two rooms, which were perfectly fine - Double bed, nice Bathroom and good room amenities- TV with many channels and Netflix, Aveda products, Tea and Coffee Machine. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout - nothing too much trouble, and it was also a very well run establishment. Clean and tidy place. Location of the hotel was also great for the Lexington Ave, 59th St and 53rd St Metro, as well as Bloomingdales, Tiffanys and Central Park. Not as busy as Times Sq, which worked for us. Also, great for Marathon route as two blocks up from part of the route. Managed to access all the City visitor spots when required with ease as well. Great trip and would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in New York. Read less

Staying at the Renaissance 57 tonight and it’s a really nice hotel for the rate and Diana at the front desk was extremely nice, efficient, and frankly just pleasant to deal with after a 4 hour train ride. Also I wish all hotels included a couple of free bottles of water like this one does.
