We are finishing up our first stay at this Residence Inn. The staff are extremely friendly & helpful. In particular, I ‘d like to thank the overnight front desk agent (sorry, did not get her name), but she helped with suggestions on where to buy a replacement bag, which was so appreciated. In particular, I ‘d like to thank the overnight front desk agent (sorry, did not get her name), but she helped with suggestions on where to buy a replacement bag, which was so appreciated. The hotel location is excellent, and apart from street noise, which is expected, the walls are pretty sound proof. The rooms are clean. We had a king suite which was quite spacious. The kitchenette had a full size fridge, dishwasher, a little induction burner & microwave. Breakfast was slightly different each day and of good variety. The breakfast staff work very hard to maintain clean tables & ample cutlery. Kudos to them for their cheerful service. Thanks & keep up the good work. Read less

When the hotel gives you complimentary earplugs in your room, its a hint. Our room “view” was a brick wall with an alley 7 stories below. On garbage day, or I should say night, its quite loud with lots of clanging of industrial sized dumpsters. Other than that, the hotel itself was fairly decent. Fold out couch-bed was typical but I did have… Read more

On garbage day, or I should say night, its quite loud with lots of clanging of industrial sized dumpsters. Other than that, the hotel itself was fairly decent. Fold out couch-bed was typical but I did have to call down for a normal comforter. Tip: do this right away because the blanket feels like its 50% polyester and 50% sandpaper. Location is good and there are many restaurants within walking distance. We didn’t use the kitchen area but I could see how it would be a very nice benefit for a long stay. I think the place was a good value. Read less

We are from a rural state with a population of a million people so this was quite an experience for our family. The room was great, full bath with tub and shower combo, sustainable amenities in the bathroom, clean and had a full kitchenette. The bed was king size and very comfortable. In room safe provided. There was a guest laundry available if you needed to wash and dry clothes. The hotel provided a full free breakfast every morning with a great variety of selections. We found Carlos very efficient and always willing to help us in the breakfast area. The staff was always cheerful, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area and location of stores we needed to find. The room was cleaned every day and fresh linen replenished. Recycling bins were in prominent places. We would recommend this hotel and definitely stay here again! Read less

Highly recommend this hotel. It has a great mid-town east location, on a quiet street close to subway stops, taxis, and restaurants, and a friendly staff. We enjoyed walking to/from Broadway theaters. A king studio was large by NYC standards, with a full-size bathroom with a tub/shower, a closet with a safe, and a fabulous kitchenette (2-burner… Read more

We enjoyed walking to/from Broadway theaters. A king studio was large by NYC standards, with a full-size bathroom with a tub/shower, a closet with a safe, and a fabulous kitchenette (2-burner stove, microwave, apt.-size refrigerator/freezer, and a dishwasher). While free breakfast is offered, we enjoy having ours in our room. There is a city-size Whole Foods nine blocks away and convenience marts even closer (and the hotel offers grocery shopping). The bed was comfortable and the modern decor fresh and tasteful. There is water and free coffee coffee offered throughout the day in the lobby. So appreciate the opportunity to recycle and the sustainable approach to shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Plenty of conveniently located electrical outlets.Would definitely stay here again! Read less

Considering hotel choices of rooms to accommodate a family w/ 2 teens in NYC...this is a fantastic option in a convenient location easily walkable to Times Square (~.5 mile) and lots of restaurants and subway at Grand Central or Lexington. We stayed in a two-room suite (master bedroom with a door separated from couch bed living area). We appreciated the extra space. Location is convenient but like anywhere in the city, can be loud street noise and the window view is a horrible alley. Bathroom is quite small... but typical for NYC. It was convenient to also have a fridge (there is a mini kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, etc that we didn't use). Their breakfast buffet is generous with lots of options including fresh fruit, regular and iced coffee (nice treat), plus standard hot eggs, meats and cereals, breads, and muffins. Front desk staff were super friendly. Read less
