This place is ridiculous. The rooms are nice yes, and the staff are mostly friendly. But do you want to be stuck in a warm room all day and night? They don’t tell you up front but their A/C system automatically shuts off randomly and you’re stuck in a warm room day and night. This is a regular occurrence with this hotel. They don’t tell you up front but their A/C system automatically shuts off randomly and you’re stuck in a warm room day and night. This is a regular occurrence with this hotel. Their explanation: we have a very old pump system that automatically shuts off dependent on outside temperature. They refuse to put in a new A/C and heating system and would rather just upset their guests. They offered me “to open the windows or bring me a fan”. This is ridiculous for the amount of money that this hotel charges. Stay here if you want to be in a warm room all day and night. Read less

Stayed three nights for business. Room was large with a small kitchenette - sink, mini-fridge, coffeemaker and microwave. No plates or cutlery provided. Room was quiet, bathroom very small. My only complaint is the ridiculous “amenity” fee of $45 per night. What amenities? A fitness room was all I experienced. Otherwise it’s just another… Read more

No need for that - won’t stay again for that reason. Read less

The pros are: Good location, good size rooms, generally clean, quick rectification of issues, polite staff especially the doorman. Cons: Awful double glazing which was drafty and left you at the mercy of the New York chaotic traffic so sleeping was a challenge, very thin walls so if the traffic didn't get you the room next door would, also all the hotel seems to slam loudly for some particular reason, the whole place lacked atmosphere, no facilities for food/drinks, air conditioning only provided heat so do not touch unless you wish for a hot stuffy room as windows are screwed shut. As we stayed for only 4 nights it was bearable but would definitely not return. Read less

The hotel was brilliant, very large rooms, closet for suitcases, a fridge, tv, a comfy chair and 2 double beds, a lovely bathroom with big shower. We couldn't fault it at all, a lovely comfy room and with comfy beds to go back to after a full day exploring was just what we needed. I'd messaged the hotel before hand as my son is autistic and will only eat cheese sandwich's and needed to check if there was a fridge in the room as we hadn't booked one with a kitchenette. There was a fridge and a large desk area that I could easily prepare his food on, and then he could sit in a chair to eat rather than just on the bed as we've had in other hotels. Check in was easy, the staff were really friendly and helpful, we arrived in the early hours of the morning after the flight from hell, and I was able to sit in the reception area with my son while my husband checked us in, everyone was super friendly and compassionate about how exhausted we were. When it came to checking out, we were able to store our bags and then a lovely gentleman sorted out a taxi for us to get back to the airport, it was a last minute decision to get a taxi as we had previously said we'd get the subway to the airport. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was really helpful and friendly. If we ever come back to New York, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you so much to everyone we encounted during our stay, Read less
