The Knickerbocker Hotel is a historic gem right in the middle of New York City's Times Square. Opened back in 1906, this luxury spot has been a go-to for celebrities and big names over the years. It's famous for its stunning Beaux-Arts architecture. After being closed for a while and going through some changes, it made a grand comeback in 2015 with a major renovation. Now, it offers modern comforts while keeping its old-school charm.

Everything was excellent. Check in was super fast, all staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was clean and cozy. My room was close to the elevators, and even though I could hear them going up and down while in the bathroom, the bedroom area was quiet.

Great family trip to NYC

Had a really lovey time taking the kids to NYC for the first time. Staff were always very helpful and the location was fantastic in terms of geography to key things we wanted to do. The family room we had was great for being able to spread out a bit. Would definitely go back again.

Room, restaurant & staff were all lovely. Excellent location, which would normally be 5 stars all round however I was shocked on checking out to be charged an "amenity fee" of around $54 USD per day & we had stayed for 5 nights. Given the price of the room already (we understand the location is of course going to make this a pricey hotel to stay at) & beautiful but expensive meal we had at the restaurant, this was a very unpleasant surprise. Yes upon looking when we returned home to Australia it's in the fine print, but certainly not made clear when booking. Buyer beware I guess!

Disappointed and won’t be returning

Terrible front desk staff, unhelpful. Extremely noisy rooms with no view on a lower floor, supposedly claim to be a “premier room”. I cannot fathom how your highest room category (non suite) is placed on the lowest floor below the restaurant and gym. Not worth the visit.
Delightful stay

Excellent room layout design and functionality.
Staff consistently profession and pleasant.
Morning breakfast offered great selection with Gania & Houcine especially taking care of us each morning.
Central location provided convenient access for walking and forms of transport.
