i always stay at Hilton hotels and this time we were expecting something great since it is a Conrad, an upscale of the Hilton hotels. location: nice location in the center of the city. View: ZERO. you have all the other apartments hovering over your unit and can view you from their pads. we had to turn on the lights on and close all window coverings for some privacy. Staff: great and very helpful and nice people. Food: was not big fan of it at all. Breakfast was very basic and lacks choices. very poor options for their buffet. Embassy suite, hiltons and Holiday Inn breakfasts had much bigger variety and options. their baked goods are cold and not even baked on site. would have been great it they warmed them a bit. wanted to try it out and stay during out 9 day stay in NY but then after one night we left and decided not to extend it. will surely never stay at that hotel. not sure if all Conrad will have such a basic minimal breakfast menu but i am happy with Embassy suites and Hilton Hotels over the Conrad family Read less

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a mixed experience. On the plus side, the room itself was very nice. All the furnishings were modern and comfortable, and the shower had amazing pressure. For a NYC hotel especially, there was a lot of space to spread out, and you could probably fit a family of 4 with no problem. On the other hand, there were a couple service snafus. My partner and I booked one night in each of our names and asked reception to combine the reservations so we didn't have any hassles to switch rooms, etc. We thought it was all set. The next day, we got a knock on the door asking if we were checking out, and we had to tell them about the arrangement. When we returned to the hotel later that night, our door cards didn't work, and we had to go back to reception to show ID and get them replaced. This was the first time I've had issues like this happen at a Conrad. Not a big deal, but mildly annoying. More disappointingly, the breakfast was just subpar. As Diamond guests we received a $30 credit per person, per day for food at the restaurant. The first morning, we considered getting the buffet, but after looking it over decided it was not worth the $39 -- it was more or less like a Hyatt Place breakfast, nothing special. Instead we ordered from the menu. During our stay we tried several different dishes -- all were mediocre. The potatoes in particular were almost inedible. Also, $8 for drip coffee? Thanks, but no thanks! All in all, I'd still stay here again due to the great location and the excellent room, but with reduced expectations for everything else. I have stayed at Conrads in many other places, and this one simply isn't up to the same standards. Read less

We were looking forward to staying at the Conrad to celebrate our 12-year-olds birthday. In preparation, I’ve called the property several times to get more specific information to plan for our trip. Unfortunately, it has been impossible to get straight forward responses from staff - basic things like “when will your restaurant open”....”can we get a room service menu emailed prior to our stay so we can order food for our arrival” and clarification on diamond level benefits - “how much are we going to pay out of pocket for our “continental breakfast” because it’s so expensive it doesn’t actually include coffee, tax or gratuity?” Anyway, we will be in NYC tomorrow thru Thursday and did a last minute change to the Hampton Inn Times Square North - I know the rooms won’t be nearly as nice as those at the Conrad but the reviews (especially about the service) are hands down so much better than those of the Conrad. It’s a sad thing that the communication at this hotel has been so lackluster I felt the need to change hotels. Disappointing. Read less

This is a very special property. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting NYC. If you want a location which is close enough to the action, yet far enough away to have a respite, then this is the place for you!

My family spent a long weekend at The London Conrad celebrating our daughter’s birthday. We had extended family that included a grandmother, parents, and an aunt. We occupied 3 rooms clustered together on one floor. The renovation of the hotel is beautiful, and the suites are large, well-appointed, and sophisticated. Knowing that we were celebrating a special occasion, the staff performed above and beyond expectations to make sure our stay was delightful. Special shout-out to rooms manager, Victoria Caravella, who was the point person making sure all our needs and requests were honored, and who worked hard to make sure we were delighted with our experience. This is now my favorite hotel in NYC – for both business and pleasure. Ideally located for all NYC has to offer. This was my 3rd stay, and I will be back again frequently. Thank you Victoria and all The London Conrad team! Read less
