We spent Easter in New York at the London and got two great, spacious suites. Apparently, we were the first guests in those rooms. The bed was among the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! The location is good close to Times Square and Central Park. As large portions of the hotel were being renovated, the entrance was through a side door and a lot of the floors were closed off. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The hotel gym included all you could wish for for a good workout. Complementary water and earphones were provided. Unfortunaltely, there was no swimming pool. I would absolutely live in this hotel! The rooms, which in the past used to be suites are cosy, carrying that New Yorker Art Deco charm. They even have a beautiful seating area with a semicircular couch. It is a beautiful marriage between old and new beauty. They even have a beautiful seating area with a semicircular couch. It is a beautiful marriage between old and new beauty. Due to its location (just blocks walking distance from Central Park, Broadway, 5th Ave...) you really don’t need much to fall in love with this place. A warning: The hostess at breakfast can surely ruin your mood. We were there for almost a week and she still treated us like she never met us. Really poor service on a simple job like allocating tables and smiling to guests... Read less

I went here for my birthday and the staff were extremely friendly and the hotel was well placed in Manhattan with a short walk to Central Park and Times Square. The concierge was happy to help with anything you requested.

We stayed at The London two years ago & I gave a very good review. Two years on & we were warned that it was undergoing refurbishment, This did not put us off as we had such a good experience the first time & we knew the suite that we wanted and it was promised. When we arrived we were told that that suite was not available but they were upgrading us. Well the upgrade was to the top floor rooftop suite, this was like winning the lottery. probably bigger that most NY apartments. The position on 54th w is terrific for most visitors. All of the staff were wonderful & helpful & I noticed they seem to keep there staff, which is always a good sign. I love the breakfast in the hotel everything you could possible want & waiter service or buffet style. NY at Christmastime is just magical. As you would expect there was nothing that could be faulted. It was one of our best hotel stays. Read less

Hotel was great only issue I had was that my door key did not work each time I returned to the room by the time my visit was over I had 18 door keys. Very expensive hotel for this type of inconvenience.
