Very clean, great location. Lobby and restaurant had a very bland feeling. Like an airport lounge. Feel like a great hotel for business travel.

Thompson Central Park is the perfect base for a luxury stay if you’re looking to be near the Theater District and Central Park. We took advantage of both locations with reasonable walks to and from the hotel. We were also easily able to take the subway to take in a game at Citi Field. Our stay overlapped the US Open and the hotel was busy. Service at the Thompson was impeccable and all of the staff we interacted with were upbeat and helpful. We stayed at this property when it was the Parker 5 years ago and a lot has changed, making for a more upscale yet relaxed vibe. We opted for the upper floor experience which comes with access to the Resident’s Lounge on the third floor. This is a breakfast and all day snack and beverage lounge that guests on the upper floors share with the permanent residents who own apartments on several of the upper floors. Our room had a view of Central Park and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever had at a hotel. The Thompson is definitely an upscale location and not the type of place we usually stay at. For our special occasion it was worth every penny! Read less

We had a great experience at the Thompson Hotel last week! The location is super central, easy access to everything the city has to offer. We were pleasantly surprised with a fantastic view from our room. We are so grateful for Stanley’s hospitality and warm welcome. He really went above and beyond to make sure not only our stay, but our trip was perfect. He was super knowledgeable about the ins and outs of NYC and was more than happy to allow us to pick his brain. He recommended an Italian restaurant nearby and it was easily one of the best meals I have ever had. The hotel was clean, and the burger joint located in the hotel was amazing as well. Will definitely stay again!! Thank you! Read less

Fine hotel; except our room smelled of cigarettes. The room (junior suite) was spacious, For the tower, the check in was cumbersome.
