Trump International Hotel and Tower New York

Midtown, New York

The hotel

At the heart of Manhattan, overlooking Central Park stands the Trump International Hotel & Tower, rising 52 stories into the sky. It’s unparalleled luxury you’ll enjoy at this hotel, the home of New York’s only Five-Star and Five-Diamond restaurant! But first, the accommodation – not only beautifully furnished, many boast their own kitchen too plus floor-to-ceiling windows to take advantage of those views. There’s nothing quite like a New York skyline, especially at night, so sit back on the sofa with an aperitif in hand and take in the magnificence of it all. Something else you must treat yourself too is a trip to the spa, inspired by wellness techniques from around the globe, there’s a unique selection of facials, massages and treatments on offer as well an indoor pool, steam baths, saunas and yoga instruction. Now, back to that restaurant. Jean Georges is the jewel in the Trump crown, bearing the name of its award-winning chef, and setting the bar for the highest standards in quality and service. Blending French, American and Indochinese cuisine, the setting for the restaurant is visually stunning too. For slightly more casual dining, head to Nougatine, offering fine-dining Jean Georges dishes along with daily specials or linger over cocktails at The Terrace, an al-fresco dining area right next door to Central Park.

Musty mildew smell in all rooms. Got switched twice. Not a faint smell. Extremely strong. Would not stay again because of it. Only good part of the hotel was the doormen staff. They were very friendly and helpful. All of them are outgoing and deserve a raise !

Both the check-in and check-out service was distant. They were not terrible, but I did not feel welcomed either. There were no complimentary items, no minibar, not even bottled water in the room. Both the check-in and check-out service was distant. They were not terrible, but I did not feel welcomed either. There were no complimentary items, no minibar, not even bottled water in the room. The only in-room dining service available was breakfast, which was also ridiculously expensive, especially considering the fact that the breakfast was not made by the hotel. The room quality is great, and the Central Park view is good. But that’s about the only good things during my stay. Overall, I do not recommend staying at this hotel—the stay and the experience, including the view, is simply not worth the price you have to pay. Read less

I cannot find anything or anybody to find faults with. Everything was superb! All of the staff members were very kind, hospitable, and helpful. Check-in took 1 minute sharp. Corner junior suite on the 17th floor was exquisite. Lots of useful amenities in the room. We could even watch the fireworks from our window. Hope to come back soon!
