I will say that the stay at Sixty Soho had started out well. I had booked 2 rooms for a 3 night stay for my girlfriend and I. On the Thursday night while waiting for my girlfriend to arrive, I had grabbed a drink in the bar and the bartender was great and the atmosphere was nice. On the Saturday night we had sat down in the lobby area where drinks were being served. We asked the server if we could actually go into the bar. She said no, we had to go downstairs to the entrance and ask there. I talked to what I can only describe as a bouncer. It seemed a bit odd, but I went down and asked. He said we needed a reservation, to which I asked could I get one? He said no. Ok then.... While I was getting poor service from the bouncer, my girlfriend went to the ladies room, which is actually in the bar. She entered where the lady at reception directed her, which was through a side door. When exiting, she asked the bar tender if we could have our drinks in there given that it was completely empty. He said sure. We go in sit down and 3 minutes later the server from the reception area comes in, and walks up to my girlfriend and says I told you you could not come in here and you snuck in! She ends up having to defend herself, saying that she did not have sneak in anywhere. Server wouldn’t back down and basically created a scene. My girlfriend was mortified and felt humiliated. I have stayed at far worse hotels and far better hotels than this and never been treated like this. I regret giving them 2000.00. I voiced my concerns immediately with reception. I also voiced my concern with the manager at checkout. What I am shocked at , is the answer the manager gave me is that the bar staff are not employees of the hotel, so basically we are sorry that it happened. But too bad. I was told the general manager would contact me, waited a week. Nothing. Called back to follow up, nothing. They don’t care. They didn’t offer any compensation or concessions of any kind, but only to say that they were sorry but not our problem. As many professionals will be reading this review, they will all know that the end user client shouldn’t have to figure out who works for who when a guest at an establishment. If they rent that space out, it is their responsibility to ensure that it is rented out to a reputable company who hire reputable people. If things go sideways, you offer to make it right. They won’t do that...I have never asked for anything. They take my concerns empathize for a minute and then hope you go away. If you DON’T want your partner bullied and humiliated and in tears go to the James. If you DO, the Sixty soho is the place for you. Read less

I definitely would recommend SixtySoho. It’s a boutique hotel, not a five star hotel, but excellent for what it is. Rooms are good size and the people that work there pride themselves on customer service. I’ve stayed there twice and will stay there again. Also, can’t beat the location.

Ive been to many different hotels from NY to LA and ive never a better customer experience than when i checked in with Brittney. I was at the hotel to celebrate my 5 year anniversary with my girlfriend and i informed Brittney during a very pleasant conversation that i was intending to propose to her tonight and was very nervous but she helped to reassure me that there was no need to be nervous and that everything would work out. After a night out of getting dinner and drinks i arrived back to the room and saw a bottle of champagne had been sent to my room with an envelope from Brittney congratulating us on our anniversary. She provided us with the best care and consideration that ive ever recieved and i will definitely be coming back to this hotel for our next celebration. PS: She said Yes 😁 Read less
