We spent the weekend at The St. Regis to celebrate my birthday. From check in to check out, service was flawless, polished and professional yet friendly as well. We booked through Fine Hotels and Resorts for our first night and used points for our second. I had assumed we were going to be treated "less than" as we were using points, but I was happily incorrect. As this was a stay cation for us, we checked in exceedingly early. Our room wasn't ready, but as we ran our errands I received a phone call letting us know when it became available, and that a small upgrade was given to us as well. Our room was very large for NYC, with a comfy seating area. The furnishings and fixtures were very well thought out. As we love to indulge in Room Service, there was ample seating for the room service table, including a folding chair that was exactly the right height for the table. Well done! As for the Room Service itself, dinner was prepared with high quality ingredients, arrived at the correct temperature and was very tasty. So much so that we stayed in on our second night as well. The clay pot curry was yummy and the naan served with it was perfectly grilled. I must also give credit to housekeeping. Our room was immaculately clean and toiletries were replenished daily. But what really set the hotel over the top was their acknowledgment of my birthday. They had a special birthday dessert after our tea service and in our room a delicious plate of chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of Pinot Grigio welcomed us the first evening accompanied by a hand written note. It was extremely thoughtful and more appreciated than I can say. Oh, and they have a fabulous selection of TV channels. Thank you for including Bravo in the lineup! I only have three negatives and they are minor - 1. The breakfast from room service was not up to the same standard as dinner. The juice, coffee and bacon were excellent, but the rest of the meal tasted like it was under a heating lamp for some time. Also, I asked for no eggs on one of the plates but received eggs on both mornings. Not the end of the world, except for the fact that I can't stand the smell of eggs and it permeated the rest of the items on the plate. 2. The Astor Court does not have the old school glamour I remember. It seems smaller and darker now, which is a shame as the remainder of the hotel is so bright and cheery. Service though was consistent with the rest of the hotel. 3. The Windows to our room needed to be cleaned. Badly. Overall however we very much enjoyed our weekend. If you're skeptical about choosing this hotel, don't hesitate. The location is fabulous and the hotel is an icon. Read less

Horrible horrible experience!!!! Our room was not cleaned, after notifying hotel at 18:30 maid failed to throw out garbage . Both my daughter and I took a flying fall at same spot, manager clearly knew where when I reported it, so I understand it’s happened before. I highly recommend to spend your money elsewhere!!!!

I checked out of St. Regis and couldn’t wait to review the hotel. The hotel is a gem in New York. One of the best hotels I have stayed. 100% Luxury. The staff are the best, polite, warm, helpful ready to do anything to make your stay as pleasurable as ever. The rooms are beautiful. We stayed in a standard room on the 18th Floor. Believe me a standard room here is a junior suite in any other hotel. We have a 24 hour butler available to make your stay memorable. The bed is son comfortable. The bathrooms are large with everything you need. The sheets are changed and laid anytime you sleep or sit. The slippers are changed everyday. You get a fruit plate daily. The hotel has Bentleys to take you with a 10 block radius in Manhattan. Then the breakfast is made to your specifications with freshly squeezed juices, all types of teas and coffees. I totally enjoyed my stay. Will definitely be back. Read less

On recommendation from people to go here rather than the plaza, it is worth it. Wait staff are great and attentive. Great atmosphere and you can go to the bar after woods. Did get some other great tips from a couple of locals.

Stayed here for 2 nights using our Starwood Account. Found it to be by far the best St Regis hotel we have experienced. From check in to checkout, the staff were all fantastic, without any pretentiousness or arrogance. A special mention to the Butler team (George and Adalberto) and the whole concierge team including Harrold and the lovely female attendant. Not to mention the night desk manager who's name I have forgotten. Was attentive, friendly and very generous in his offerings. We spent the two nights celebrating our anniversary and could not think of a better hotel to have spent it there. The only negative was the service at the King Cole Bar- I found the sole waiter to be rude and uninterested in helping all tables. It was clear from the onset that there were tables that he would wait and attend to at the drop of a hat, and others that required the guest to ask for service. Was the only area of the whole hotel that I could be critical of! That says something about how amazing the hotel was and what a wonderful experience the St Regis NYC offers. We are already planning our next trip and can't wait to return to enjoy the classic St Regis service. Well done to senior management, you should be very proud of your establishment and its staff.
