My husband and I stayed here for three nights in March. It was our first time staying at the Marmara Manhattan. Upon arrival, and telling them we were visiting to celebrate my birthday, the concierge (Roger Arboleda) and his staff, kindly upgraded us to a two bedroom, upper floor, corner unit with incredible views of the city and river. The unit also had floor to ceiling windows with a balcony which brought in wonderful light as well. The great thing about The Marmara Manhattan is that they used to be condos/apartments so every unit has a full size, fully equipped kitchen. That is a very nice money saving feature if you want to make your own food, etc. And an especially nice feature, along with the huge interior spaces, for a hotel in Manhattan. One thing I wish we had known when we arrived was to ask for an updated room as ours was a bit dated, but the views and space made up for it. Of note, the weather was VERY cold when we visited and the doorman, who had to use a space heater to stay warm, always greeted us with a smile and never once complained when he had to leave the heater to attend to us. This exemplified excellent customer service as well as always being greeted with a smile or a kind word by the front desk staff, whether we were coming or going. Everyone at the hotel, from doorman, to front desk, to staff in general, was friendly and accommodating, towards us. The location was great as well: convenient to the subway (located on the corner below the hotel), grocery store (a block away), museums and Central Park (a short walk away). Another nice thing about the location is that it is quiet and away from all of the hustle and bustle of Times Square and typical touristy spots. You can go to those places if you want to, but the location gives you the feel of being a local, so you can explore if you want to, or just stay in your room, relax, and enjoy the views and that's nice. I would definitely stay there again! Read less

This is the second time we stayed here and what a beautiful view and great location. It's right near central park, has a great balcony view of Manhattan and easy Uber pickup to get to all New York's attractions. Great exercise room and staff and wonderful kitchen accomodations and bathroom is spotless! Highly recommend this place.

The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful when my sister was ill. The rooms are very spacious and well equiped, offering nice views of the city surroundings. The only thing I would make a note of is that there was quite a bit of construction going on during our time here and the rooms can get a bit cold so the heater's a bit tricky to figure out. Really unhappy with our apartment, it didn't look like any of the pictures on the website! The wifi is really bad and really slow, the TV couldn't get a clear picture of most of the channels. The space was good - especially with teenagers but it was filthy dirty and really run down and old. The windows were so dirty you could barely see out of them which was a shame because the view was great from level 25. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes and there was no dishwasher tablets to clean them with so we had to empty them and wash by hand. The carpet is so stained, the oven was disgusting, and the kitchen lacked basic utilities such as frying pans and bowls. The kitchen floor had not been cleaned and was in a bad way. We paid what I feel was huge money for this - our biggest expense of the trip and we don't believe we got value for money at all. Feel free to look at our photos attached before you book this place. I spoke to a lady called Lisa Darbasie who was very helpful , I explained we would also have our 8 month old daughter and they arranged private transfers from JFK airport for us both arrival and return. It was a great place as a central hub for our stay, all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and had everything we required for our stay , kitchen was well equipped also. My only point is the rooms furniture could be updated but other than that I would 100% recommend this place. Thank You. Read less
