Hoboken, New York

The hotel

If you’ve done New York before – or just want to do it differently – Hoboken’s coolest hotel gives you a unique take on the city. A waterfront retreat, it has views over the Hudson River to Manhattan’s skyline, but is just a quick subway or PATH train trip from its sights. You can explore your trendy riverside neighbourhood with the complimentary bikes, cycling between cool dining and shopping spots like Carlos Bakery (as seen on TV’s Cake Boss). It’s not just the location that’s fashionable though, with W Hoboken bringing futuristic styling in its social spaces, fun geometric design in its guestrooms, traveller comforts like Bliss® Spa and FIT® Gym (where you can work out to Manhattan views), and fun dining and drinking spaces, including LULU’s nightclub, and Halifax, whose menu’s fuelled by north-east USA’s finest fishermen, farmers, and producers.

I stayed here for work during a heatwave and found the hotel to be excellent. The air conditioning is superb and it is very convenient for both Hoboken itself and the city (it’s really close to the Path train and the ferries). The room was extremely clean and spacious and the restaurant food was great. I would thoroughly recommend it.

We stayed for a Friday and Saturday night in order to visit Manhattan. The hotel room was small but clean and lovely. We had a wonderful view of the Hudson River and the NYC skyline. I was pleasantly surprised because since it was our first time staying there they had left us a wonderful plate of fresh fruit and two free waters and a handwritten note welcoming us. It was a sweet touch and made a big impression on me. The location of this hotel is also great. There are many nice restaurants within walking distance and the Path train is only a few blocks away. I would recommend this place for sure to my friends! Read less

I have stayed here at least 15 times the past 3years. Above average review on almost every stay. Occasionally, you may run into a bit of a rowdy Saturday night if there is a wedding, however the staff can normally contain it once it gets late. Occasionally, you may run into a bit of a rowdy Saturday night if there is a wedding, however the staff can normally contain it once it gets late. I hate to give it a good review because a few times I have been unable to get a room because of the popularity. I love staying in Hoboken, its a great town to get away from a day in NYC to unwind. Lots of choices in town for a decent meal and a lively Washington Street. Subway is a 3 block walk. Read less

We booked a balcony room with the view and initially on check-in after being given a 3rd story room thought we might be disappointed but no the view was fabulous!! We eat all of our meals outside the hotel in Hoboken as the prices were a little steep, more like NYC than New Jersey! We did enjoy a drink in the lobby bar listening to the band which was nice. All of the staff in the hotel were very friendly and happy to help and if we come back to the area we will gladly stay again. Read less

Stayed for one Saturday night and had a great stay. The location is perfect with easy access to restaurants and the PATH train. Room was very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a few drinks later on the evening at Halifax and enjoyed those as well. Only issue which is maybe more feedback for the hotel. When checking in the gentleman at the desk said thank you for being a Bonvoy member, let me check for a great room for you. We only paid for a regular room as view was not important since it was a short stay and we were barely in room. He stated we have a wonderful Hoboken view room on the 3rd floor. This was the view. I realize you need to use the room for guests, but maybe surrounding this with something that can be painted, like some whimsical art. I'd rather look at that then this. And not sure you want to call this Hoboken view. You may want to be more forth coming and say this is the roof and mechanical view room. Read less
