I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was a really cool property and in an awesome location. You can walk to a lot of bars and restaurants, which was perfect. They have valet and then a self-park garage across the street. which was very convenient. The staff were all very pleasant at check-in. The rooms were surprisingly large! Very… Read more

The hotel is nice - as you would expect from a W hotel. But its location is what makes it great. Walking distance from what seems to be a thriving Main Street with lots of restaurants in Hoboken - and a walk from the train station (“the pass”) into the city. Makes for a good stay close to nyc without nyc prices.

We came all the way from England for Wrestlemania and were extremely impressed upon arrival. The building is stunning and staff very friendly. When we checked in we were offered to upgrade our room to have 2 separate beds and a great view of the New York skyline for a reasonable extra $30 a night. Once in the room we were disappointed to find blood stains on the bottom of the other side of the duvet. Despite this, beds were extremely comfortable. We had breakfast each day in the Halifax restaurant which was extremely nice and great service. On Sunday night, a room opposite was having a party and there was a strong smell of cigarettes on the floor and a lot of noise which kept waking us up through the night, we complained at reception and security were sent up which was quick and efficient but disrupted our nights sleep. When checking out, the reception staff called us a ‘local taxi’ to take us to the airport, however the car that pulled up was a regular black car with no taxi licence. We nearly crashed twice and it was an extremely frightful journey. When we arrived at the airport, the taxi driver demanded $70 which was a random figure she had made up. When we googled the price of what a taxi from the hotel to Newark airport was around $30! Overall a good stay and with the few minor issues the hotel had we were still able to have a decent stay. Had a great experience at the W hotel. Every staff member was so helpful and accommodating. The room was clean, quiet, and spacious and the hotel itself beautiful. Convenient and easy valet parking. Would absolutely stay again.

We stay at the W every time we visit our son who lives in Hoboken. we love this hotel, but there are a few things we noticed. First, it seems they never have rooms available when we check in. Admittedly, we generally check in before 3 pm but we always have to wait, sometimes later than 3 pm. Second, the cleaning staff never leaves the number of towels and wash clothes we request when booking the room. We had to call down for washcloths and it took about 40 minutes for them to deliver them. Also, we didn't get our water bottle each day. Small things, but I expect more from a hotel as nice as this.
