Then Tatiana, at the desk was more than friendly and helped us check in. The room was nice and tidy and the continental breakfast was more than I expected. The neighborhood feel safe, and there a re many restaurants in the area. We happened to hit a heat wave so we did not do a lot of walking in the area but there are loads of jazz bars and the park is beautiful. I highly recommend this place to stay and it certainly will give you a feel of old New York with it’s art deco look. Read less

Loved staying here. Great place to stay. Loved the shower. Rooms are small but the decor and atmosphere here makes up for it. Great bagels and scones. We stayed here six nights in Room 322. Loved visiting with the pretty lady from Poland. She was really nice and helpful. Highly recommend it. My husband and I stayed here 6 nights. We… Read more

Dinning room for all meals located on the lower ground floor. Continental breakfast include in tariff. Choice of food for dinner was pleasing and enjoyable. You can be assured that the meals offered are excellent when a fair proportion of the guests dinning are locals living around the Hotel The only problem I en counted was from the 3 nights we stay was a lack of laundry service or in house facilities. You had to take your own laundry to a laundry company located in streets near by. My final comment is care needs to be taken if walking at night due to homeless on the streets Read less

We stayed for six nights with our two sons and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Firstly the staff are uniformly friendly and helpful and make you feel really at home from the minute you walk in the door. Ronnie is an exceptional door man - he should be on the stage! The location is incredible - a walk or short metro ride from everywhere - and the hotel's proximity to Washington Square Park in the summer heat was a real bonus. As was the incredible selection of excellent bars and restaurants in walking distance. The rooms are simple, very clean and comfortable with excellent showers and aircon. The included breakfast was much appreciated as New York is very expensive for Brits at the moment and the WSH was excellent value for money all round. We'll definitely be back! Read less
