We visit Lincoln City fairly often and decided to give Salishan Resort a try. Back in the day when it was called Salishan Lodge (late 80's) my parents would stay here for a night during our summer trip to celebrate their anniversary. My husband and I came for our anniversary and enjoyed our stay. The hotel was reasonably priced, though I imagine it gets more expensive during the summertime. The property is in a pretty wooded area and is very relaxing, we had a yummy dinner at the Dining Room, and customer service was fantastic. In fact, they quickly moved us to another room when we checked into ours and found the door connecting our room to another was as thin as cardboard and we could clearly hear three boisterous people and a dog next door. We're not generally picky and can put up with some noise, but it was almost as if there were people in our room talking and we knew we wouldn't be able to sleep. Avoid annexed rooms unless you're sharing the wall with people you know. That being said, the front desk was very kind about moving us to a quieter room. There's a small workout room which I used one morning inside the pool area. It's pretty tiny but you can get some exercise in. There are some peaceful walking trails in the vicinity which we enjoyed in the morning. Room service was quick and courteous. We wanted to book some massages but even a few weeks out they were booked up for the weekend we were there; get a head start on booking spa services if you plan to partake. We were happy to see there are yoga sessions available but ultimately ended up doing other things in town. The room itself was very comfortable and spacious enough for the two of us. There was a small kitchen area with a fridge and microwave, sink, and Keurig coffee maker. The bathroom was nothing special but served its purpose with a regular tub/shower. A small porch was situated off the room which was a nice place to drink our coffee. The clusters of rooms are spread out over the property but parking is ample at each building. There's not much for food and bars in the immediate area except an okay Italian restaurant and brewery (we missed out on the brewery) in the semi-abandoned shopping plaza across the highway, but a short drive in either direction will take you to some options. This is a pretty quiet place, so if you're looking for a party resort you may want to keep looking. Overall we enjoyed our stay and were fortunate to visit just before tourist season kicks in. We have stayed here twice in the last 2 months, for 2 nights and then 3 nights. We experienced a fairly minor restaurant issue the first stay. It was almost embarrassing to be treated like royalty. Thank you all! We love the location, rooms, amenities, activities and multiple choices for food and beverage, which are well thought out and delicious. The sun room for breakfast is a real delight made even better by our wonderful server, Mahina. So give the new ownership and management a try. They are working hard to restore this historic and beautiful property. And ask for Sam in the Attic Bar and Mahina in the Sun Room. Let them wow you! Read less

This place is awesome. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and modern. The property is spectacular and they are continuing to add to the amenities. They have a aerial adventure park that just opened that looks amazing. Can't wait to come back and try it.
