sweeping coastal views, towering forests, temperate climate, cliffs that plummet into the Pacific- the Salishan has it all!! The resort is Pacific Northwest elegance at it’s finest! Nestled in and among the moss covered evergreens, the view from every room is unparalleled! We enjoyed watching the weather roll in from the rocking chairs on our porch every morning, and then snuggling by the fire place in our room. Tanner and Max at the front desk did everything to accommodate us- including providing complimentary kombucha and drinks upon check in. Max kept the outdoor fire pits running for us on our first night, when our jet lag kept us from hitting the hay on time. The food was superb! Nickie, the food and beverage manager, ensured we found all the right meals and the cooslest cocktails! She directed us to The Attic, where we had the greatest roasted brussel sprout and hazelnut dish, followed by unique and innovative craft cocktails from Matt the bartender. The resort allows you to access a private coastline via nature trail- the views were amazing and the seals were plentiful and entertaining! My favorite feature of the Salishan was the epic spa! Gorgeous slate and stone decor, private pools and hot tubs that look out over the bay, and world class massages! We munched on their specialty pepitas and relaxed in the ocean breezes prior to our treatments- it was a treat for the body and the soul! Do not miss it when you visit! Can’t wait to go back during whale watching season- the resort is positioned for prime whale viewing! Will return ASAP! Such a special experience! Read less

We don't golf or play tennis but we went to Salishan for a three night break at Christmas. The place was largley deserted. The interior of the room was fine but it seemed like we were in a dead or dying resort. There is a lot of deferred maintenance on the outside. We went to the bar but left because it was empty and seemed so boring. The golf pro restaurant was no good either. We shook our heads and called to ask what we'd have to pay to leave early. The staff very kindly waived the normal fee as it was Christmas Eve. So we happily left and went home. We thought we made a mistake and we'd rather be at home. I would recommend a more beach front property in the area or the casino hotel in town. Because we would not go back we cannot recommend the lodge to anyone not attending a convention, playing golf or at a tennis conference. It was dated and away from the beach and most attractions. I have been to several world class spas and I was blown away with beautiful views and pools, unique chairs that are adjustable, amazing eucalyptus oils put under your chair. The staff was very helpful in providing assistance with offering maps and a cheerful demeanor. Our room had lovely rocking chairs on the deck and a cozy fireplace. The Attic and Sunroom had excellent food but I was even more impressed with the cocktails that Matt whipped up after I told him my preferences. FB manager Nikki was lovely! Her upbeat personality, knowledge, and guidance helped us throughout our stay. The Nature Trails to the ocean was a great way to start our day and the shops by the spa had the perfect mix of elegance with the glass stores and fun with the candy shop and brewery. We missed the daily yoga but really wanted to check it out. We went for a girls weekend but I can’t wait to come back with my husband or a larger group to enjoy this rustic chic getaway again. I have lived in Oregon for over 30 years now & have heard great things about the resort, just had never had a chance to stay. I coordinated holding my team offsite there in January 2020 & from the rooms to food to their customer service, it was all excellent. Their Adventure Park is a must do!! They started us off with some fun team building activities for the 1st hour, we really enjoyed & found productive in working on teamwork. Then, we moved to the Aerial Park. Even though a few of us on the team have a fear of heights, we conquered the Aerial Park through our teamwork & support, but also because our 2 guides (XXX & XXX) were absolutely amazing in talking us through the challenges Jenn & the whole Adventure Park team were amazing! Thank you Salishan Team for an amazing experience & stay!! Read less

This is my second year to attend the 4 days Tennis Camp run by Lee Boles. The initial recommendation came from my friends that have been going to Lee’s program for a decade.
