We had a phenomenal stay thanks to the hospitality of concierge Vu. He was amazing, offered great places to eat, and provided his insight on places to eat in Portland. He also had our car ready for us at precisely the time we needed it. He made us feel like we were at home away from home. He took great care of all of us. His customer service is… Read more

His customer service is stellar and he is an example of how you treat clients. Thank you Kimpton for hiring Vu and for allowing him to be him. Thank you to the Leadership team as well. Read less

Bre is awesome. I found myself in a jam at 3am while preparing for a presentation the next day. Bre went above and beyond to help me find resources and to ensure that I had what I needed for my 7am presentation. It saved my workshop! Thank you Bre!

The best thing this hotel has going for it is the employees. Literally everyone is so friendly and helpful. The property itself is nice, but they will need some renovations in the next few years. We got lucky with a very large bathroom, but it was dimly lit over the tub/shower.

We stayed at the Vintage last weekend, March 26. My wife and I had not had a weekend away for almost a year and we needed a night in Portland. Secondly, I blew out my ACL two weeks prior and wanted to find a hot tub room to soak in Portland. Now, let me say why I will never be staying at this hotel again. First, I booked this stay using the IHG official site after searching for rooms in Portland that had hot tubs. The "Spa Suite" which indicates a hot tub, was booked, but it was only a soaking tub. I found this out when I arrived and heard another customer talking about the same issue. Secondly, when we opened the door to our room, it smelled like a musty carpet and felt as if there was no ventilation. I looked for a bathroom fan to turn on - none. I asked the front desk if they had a fan to circulate air - none. I then asked if they had another room with soaking bath or hot tub - none. The front desk offered to move us to another room, but they had no public hot tub to soak my knee no other soaking rooms so we stayed. They offered a $50 discount off the $380 total bill. Next, we were on the eighth floor and my knee was in a brace, they had one elevator in working order over the weekend. Each time going up and down was a significant wait. This was accompanied by waiting with people AND their dogs. Once we were settled in, we sat at the lounge which was comfortable and had some great music, we used our complimentary drink card for a beverage. The next morning when I asked about the 25$ amenity charge, they said it was for the wifi, free wine, and coffee service - no breakfast availability since both restaurants on either side of them are closed and the "free wine" was a 10$ Hogue bottle. Finally, when we checked out, I had to remind the front desk about the $50 discount offered the previous day. Overall, if the room was 145 range, I would say, "sure, things happen etc." However when one night, with taxes and "amenities" comes to over 300 for the room, the expectation goes up that you are receiving a higher level of comfort and service. This was not the case. I do not recommend staying in this hotel. Read less
