Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa

Palm Springs, California

Virgin rating

The hotel

An oasis in the desert, you’ll find a huge range of things to keep you busy among the Hyatt Regency's 45-acres of perfectly manicured gardens. There’s seven different pools to cool off in, as well as a spa for a little more indulgence. If you’re a golfer, pick from two courses – and a pro can help iron out any kinks in your swing. Travelling with young ones? There are some great kids activities going on, as well as a family pool with a water slide. Maybe something more tranquil? The adults-only pool may be more your style – and maybe a cocktail by the pool at sunset followed by a tender steak.

The water park was the highlight of our stay, but I'm not sure we will return. We had to leave the resort to find other dining as there were limited options at the resort. Unless you golf or play tennis, there wasn't much else to do as far as activities go. The property is very pretty, but the hotel lacks character. For $800/night I would expect more from a Hyatt. The hotel may be undergoing construction (not an issue), but blood stains on pillow cases, sheets and pillows, no water in villa for a night and hours on next day, sprinklers going off in afternoon before a party, garden lawnmowers and blowers starting at 9 am says "we do not care about our guests". We have stayed at this property for over 2… Read more

Title says it all. Beautiful property and great spa experience. It is not worth the $800 per night unless you have kids. Pool was very nice. Staff was great. Location was great 30 mins from airport. The golf course was awesome. No place to work from the room.

The resort would be great for families but it's very expensive. Food and beverage are very expensive for what you receive. The staff is incredibly friendly but not terribly helpful. Very strict corporate style answers when asking about services. The water park and property are under construction which is not told to you ahead of planning/booking.

Great location in Indian Wells, close to Palm Desert & La Quinta. Being Globalists, we were upgraded to a suite - with the largest veranda we've ever had. Room was wonderful. Even while their restaurants were in meeting rooms b/c they were under construction - the food service & quality was excellent. We loved the wonderful pools, particularly the lazy river & the adult-only hot tub (which we had all to ourselves on day). Would definitely recommend this property highly. The construction was not a problem during our stay. Read less
