Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa

Palm Springs, USA

The hotel

An oasis in the desert, you’ll find a huge range of things to keep you busy among the Hyatt Regency's 45-acres of perfectly manicured gardens. There’s seven different pools to cool off in, as well as a spa for a little more indulgence. If you’re a golfer, pick from two courses – and a pro can help iron out any kinks in your swing. Travelling with young ones? There are some great kids activities going on, as well as a family pool with a water slide. Maybe something more tranquil? The adults-only pool may be more your style – and maybe a cocktail by the pool at sunset followed by a tender steak.

We stayed here recently over Thanksgiving and the overall experience was ok, but not overly impressive for the high cost. The resort was way overbooked and not really staffed to accommodate. The staff that was there was mostly great, but they weren't set up for success. I had to call several times and remind them that I needed an adjoining room and each time they seemed confused at what I was talking about. The biggest issue was the food. None of the food was good and as a large group it was annoying to have so few options. Dinner was a big mess with one restaurant open for a full resort. They started with open seating and then changed that to hour long wait times the next night. Just not prepared at all. Thankfully, we had a 2nd car for part of the trip so we could go off-site to find better and more affordable food options. Rooms are ok, definitely dated as others have said. The carpet really needs to go and the beds were just ok. Housekeeping only comes every few days and didn't do a thorough clean so that was strange too. It's a weird time for travel for sure so we tried to be understanding, but we won't go back. Read less

They amount of screaming kids in the hallway early in the morning was torture. Save your money. There are a lot more resorts in the area which will actually monitor the halls and have respect for sleeping individuals.

Spectacular property. Rooms could not have been nicer. Service was excellent. Unfortunately, pool was very crowded -- for the price they charge, should not require a scramble to get a chair by the pool. And only a few tennis courts, always occupied... And then they charge through the nose for food at every shop (e.g. $5 for a cup of fruit). At… Read more

The Hyatt was a great happy and clean environment! The family had a blast and can't wait to go back! Wish they had more rooms that accommodated a family if 5 but luckily it was just the 4 of us on this trip

When you take a vacation, every part of the experience should feel as though you are being accomodated and catered to. This hotel got the simplest parts of this very wrong. Things were broken, public areas were dirty and to too it all off the hotel doesnt have room service. 🤦🏽‍♂️
