Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa

Palm Springs, USA

The hotel

An oasis in the desert, you’ll find a huge range of things to keep you busy among the Hyatt Regency's 45-acres of perfectly manicured gardens. There’s seven different pools to cool off in, as well as a spa for a little more indulgence. If you’re a golfer, pick from two courses – and a pro can help iron out any kinks in your swing. Travelling with young ones? There are some great kids activities going on, as well as a family pool with a water slide. Maybe something more tranquil? The adults-only pool may be more your style – and maybe a cocktail by the pool at sunset followed by a tender steak.

Property was very family friendly! We had a great Golf Deluxe room - nice layout! Staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The family cabanas were not worth the price, but the adult cabanas were quite nice! Given the age of our kids (12 & 16) we opted for the adult cabanas as base camp for my husband and I :) We would join our kids in the lazy river and had lounge chairs in the general area so we could still be with them from time to time. We were super disappointed that the room was not very clean. It "looked" clean - tidy and well appointed. However, the room was not up to standards in terms of dusting. The headboard, leather couch and the bathroom vent had not been dusted for sometime! Given the current Covid cleaning protocols that were probably taken, dusting should not be dismissed...it is still essential to the cleaning checklist. Read less

This was our first visit. Beautiful clean grounds. Fantastic 7 pools to accommodate all ages. Plenty of pool lounge chairs. Great foods. Helpful staff. 4 stars because the rooms need fresh paint and some updating. Regardless, I will definitely be back for the pools. I highly recommend this resort.

Finally took a few days off and went to Hyatt Regency Indian wells. It was way too crowded at the pools I think the hotel did a very poor job of crowd control. They needed to either have some type of reservation system for a rotating system. When you have the kids pool area only open from 10 AM to 6 PM. Very fun, nice pool cabanas, lazy river was great. I can’t wait to go back!! Only improvement would be to have extended restaurant hours and access to the jacuzzis later at night. Staff was perfect!!!
