The Saguaro Palm Springs

Palm Springs, USA

The hotel

The strapline, ‘Pina Coladas for breakfast – no judgements’, sets the feel-free-to-just-be tone of the Saguaro (that’s Sa-Wah-Roh, pronunciation fans). This rainbow-coloured oasis – just a hop and a skip from downtown Palm Springs – has everything you might need wrapped up a Pinata-bright Mexi-Cali package that’s as cheerful as it is chic. It’s no wonder the Saguaro has backdropped numerous fashion mag shoots in its time. But even if the only runway you’ve ever graced is at Heathrow you owe it to yourself to hit the Saguaro. Test the tacos and sample the ceviche at the El Jefe restaurant, perfect your Upward Facing Two Foot Staff in one of the daily yoga classes, or simply take the short trip from your balcony to the pool, frozen daiquiri in hand, and blisss out under the desert sun.

I had a great time this past weekend! I am not going to lie, it was a little crazy with the Paradise Road Show but the staff made it all better. Maria at the front desk was especially understanding when i voiced my concerns to her! She took care of my wife and I and I will definitely be back! Also, the shrimp tacos in El Jefe are to die for!

I do not recommend staying here. It had a very strange odor. Added charges to my final bill. A $40 per night resort fee. Apparently that was in the fine print. And housekeeping staff was terrible. They put wet pillowcases on the pillows when they changed the linen. You could totally feel that they were wet. I had to call 2 times to get them to… Read more

A cup of coffee was 4 something for old coffee. I was totally disappointed with my stay. Read less

I have so many great things to say about my stay at Saguaro Palm Springs so I'll keep it brief: Loved the refreshed room, #172, with the direct access to the lawn for my pups. Don’t be cheap, pay extra for a poolside room, you deserve it. Loved the food in El Jefe, especially the excellent service from the morning crew, Dan and Trish. The… Read more

The Chilaquiles were delicious &the Date Latte was perfect for some local flavor. Loved the free shuttle to downtown. Because downtown parking sucks. I have already recommended to friends and look forward to my next visit. Read less

Not going to lie - I had issues during my initial check in (they couldn't find the reservation due to a system failure and I felt the original room's cleanliness was not up to par). However, when i came to the front desk to voice my concerns, i was introduced to Amanda, the director, who listened to me and took great care of me! She moved my room… Read more

However, when i came to the front desk to voice my concerns, i was introduced to Amanda, the director, who listened to me and took great care of me! She moved my room to something more spectacular and even introduced me to the hotel mascot Queso! Its hospitality such as this that is a rare find and makes a hotel. Will be back! Read less

Fresh and comfortable room, loved the robes and the fluffy towels, nice TV, appreciated the in-room safe. Easy, free parking and very nice neighborhood for walking around. Lobby felt stuffy and dark, and we were surprised that the room didn’t have a coffee maker ( and the lobby restaurant didn’t open until 7).
