Loews Philadelphia Hotel

Philadelphia, USA

The hotel

An incredible hotel in a stunning location, the Loews is actually situated in the historic PSFS Building – Philadelphia’s first ever skyscraper! As well as spacious, well-equipped guest rooms, you’ll also enjoy the Loews brand of service – impeccable! For a heart-of-the-city hotel, the facilities are outstanding. The fitness centre not only features state-of-the-art equipment but also a two-lane heated lap pool. Pampering is also a priority – book an appointment at the world-class spa*, a relaxing massage perhaps or a beautifying facial. There are restaurants all around you but the Loews very own Bank & Bourbon should not be missed. It’s also a great place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink – a signature cocktail perhaps before hitting the town.

We spent three nights in Loews Philadelphia as a part of our 25th weddinganniversary. I mailed the hotel about our special vacation and they let me know they would do something for this special trip. When we arrived at the frontdesk the host greeted us and congratulated us with the Anniversary. That was nice. When we got to the room we were surprised with the New renovated room on the 32th floor with an amazing view. I don’t now if we got an upgrade, but we were very happy with the beautiful large room. The breakfast was included with this room. We were a little bit dissapointed that there was no celebrationcard in the room with bubbles or cake with some nice words of the hotelmanager. It was a special time for us. But hey, that was the only minor thing. The hotel is big but you won’t notice that. The hotel is beautiful with a nice bar (can be sometimes loud) a very good restaurant, Bank and Bourbon a small supermarket. But the best part is the staff. They all gave us that home feeling. Everyone was so friendly and professional. Our thumb up for everyone including management. Short: great hotel with the best staff, beautiful big rooms with amazing beds, excellent restaurant. We will come back. Thank you all for our wonderful stay. Read less

Absolutely amazing experience from the moment we arrived. The bellman helped us, as we struggled to find the valet parking (even though there was a clear sign...duh). Absolutely amazing experience from the moment we arrived. The bellman helped us, as we struggled to find the valet parking (even though there was a clear sign...duh). Valets were very helpful, explained security measures and assisted us with our bags into the hotel. Eduardo checked us in and was extremely helpful in explaining everything. We got an upgraded king room on the 18th floor. Love that you need a key to get to the guest floors. Room was amazing. Spectacular views of city hall. Extremely clean and pristine. Nice shower with good water pressure. Bed clean and comfortable. We ordered room service the first night, which was fantastic. I expected typical “room service” food. Our cheesesteaks were fantastic, we said no drinks but hotel sent up cold glasses of water, which on a 95-degree day was much appreciated. Room service only took about 15 minutes. Rooms were refreshed daily. Even housekeeping in the halls was accommodating and friendly! Checkout was a breeze. I found an error on my bill and Sherry was quick to correct it and even squeezed in a great conversation! This hotel nails it with the little touches. Small things sent up to the room. The bellman providing us with complimentary umbrella when it was pouring rain. Allowing us to leave our bags after checkout so we could explore more, as the valet service was good until 5pm. Loews is very close to City Hall and Reading Terminal Market. Also, this hotel lobby smells AMAZING. I never got to ask what the scent is, but it’s always nice to know you’re coming back to a place that makes you feel like a celebrity! We will stay here again when we return, and will recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Philadelphia. Read less

Excellent stay. Clean room, friendly staff at check-in and at concierge. Walking distance to Reading Terminal Market, City Hall and Convention Center. Phlash bus stops right outside for ease of access to Philly sites. Pool area was clean, plenty of towels. I liked that room key was needed to access guest floors as there was a conference happening and random people were not able to get everywhere. Our only complaint (from my 10 year old) was the roll away bed "stunk"... as in springs sticking in his back and hard. He had a "crappy sleep" in his words. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and the convenience to the places we wanted to visit. Read less

My wife and i stay here on a semi regular basis, switching between the Marriott and here. The rooms here are awesome, especially if you can get an upper level corner room, the views are breathtaking. The staff here are top notch and treat you like royalty

Fantastic stay here over the 4th of July! The onsite restaurant - Bank and Bourbon - is fantastic. The hotel is in a great location and staff if friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
