Loews Philadelphia Hotel

Philadelphia, USA

The hotel

An incredible hotel in a stunning location, the Loews is actually situated in the historic PSFS Building – Philadelphia’s first ever skyscraper! As well as spacious, well-equipped guest rooms, you’ll also enjoy the Loews brand of service – impeccable! For a heart-of-the-city hotel, the facilities are outstanding. The fitness centre not only features state-of-the-art equipment but also a two-lane heated lap pool. Pampering is also a priority – book an appointment at the world-class spa*, a relaxing massage perhaps or a beautifying facial. There are restaurants all around you but the Loews very own Bank & Bourbon should not be missed. It’s also a great place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink – a signature cocktail perhaps before hitting the town.

I stayed here while in Philadelphia on business. First my comforter had blood stains on it. They changed it out with no issue but insh have never had a blood stained comforter. I stayed here while in Philadelphia on business. First my comforter had blood stains on it. They changed it out with no issue but insh have never had a blood stained comforter. The AC in my room would only work on fan. It was a nice early spring week and my room was hot most of the time. I asked twice but never had true air conditioning. Since no AC the room was dry. On Thursday my bed was made but nothing else. The trash cans were not emptied, no replacement towels.. Glad I had another...no vanity cleaning. The food was overly pricey for hotel food and the wine list was limited. The staffing was pleasant but just not a place I would go back to on my own. Read less

Great location just one block from wonderful Reading Mkt and Convention Ctr, as well as Wanamaker's turned Macy's. Lovely large corner room on high floor w magnificent views, esp at night. Bathroom huge and modern! Great staff at front desks, front entrance, bell desk, and parking who are helpful and efficient. Two long pool lanes for lap swimmers complemented by peaceful music piped in. Great parking pkg rate of $215 per nt through Loews directly. Area nearby on 13th St full of wonderful restaurants. Best hotel we've stayed in a long time. Eager to return! Read less

Hotel was clean and location was great. Needs a few more outlets in the rooms. Bed was comfortable. Had a hard time getting the ac to adjust and be cool enough at night though. Does not come with breakfast.
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Old and Needs an Upgrade

The hotel is dated, and in need of an upgrade. The rooms are Ok, but nothing fancy. The staff are friendly and were helpful and always accessible. It is well located and the food was very good. It is a shame they don't invest some money to upgrade and make it cleaner and more modern. It could be so much more, but it isn't.
