Loews Philadelphia Hotel

Philadelphia, USA

The hotel

An incredible hotel in a stunning location, the Loews is actually situated in the historic PSFS Building – Philadelphia’s first ever skyscraper! As well as spacious, well-equipped guest rooms, you’ll also enjoy the Loews brand of service – impeccable! For a heart-of-the-city hotel, the facilities are outstanding. The fitness centre not only features state-of-the-art equipment but also a two-lane heated lap pool. Pampering is also a priority – book an appointment at the world-class spa*, a relaxing massage perhaps or a beautifying facial. There are restaurants all around you but the Loews very own Bank & Bourbon should not be missed. It’s also a great place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink – a signature cocktail perhaps before hitting the town.

Found hotel on Expedia, called to make a reservation verifying that it was OK that I am only 18 (Credit card in my name) and they said no problem. Requested a quiet room as I informed them I was having an early surgery and would be arriving late evening after classes. They would not allow me to check in and were extremely rude. This is a big, bustling business hotel, but with a real touch of personalized, boutique hospitality. Whether it was the concierge desk offering me a umbrella as I set out during a spring rainstorm, or the housekeeping staff seeing me leave my room and asking me if I'd like service immediately, or the superb work of James Markowicz who directs… Read more
This is a big, bustling business hotel, but with a real touch of personalized, boutique hospitality. Whether it was the concierge desk offering me a umbrella as I set out during a spring rainstorm, or the housekeeping staff seeing me leave my room and asking me if I'd like service immediately, or the superb work of James Markowicz who directs the front office staff and Derrick Monte Carlo with sales, taking care of my complicated reservation, the Lowes in Philadelphia is a top-flight service operation. When you consider the volume of inventory at the hotel, it's really impressive. On top of all that, if there's a better lap pool at a central urban hotel anywhere in the US, I haven't found it. As an avid lap swimmer who prefers that as a workout over anything else, the Loews is a gift. Read less
