I have loved staying at Kimpton properties for a long time. But they sold out to IHG awhile back and it just isn’t worth it anymore. This particular property does try, but it misses the mark. we spent 3 nights. I had booked a King spa room. The shower, soaking jetted tub was wonderful. The honor bar prices have passed ridiculous, $32 for a split of chardonnay. And no more raid the bar unless you are a gold member. They did have good coffee, newspapers and the wine hour choices were ok. Service at the desk was very good and most employees for welcoming, Doormen need to spend less time staring at their phones, The restaurant was very good, but room service breakfast was bad. Burnt coffee and runny syrup. I requested a humidifier, it was broken. Not worth the money. I won’t stay again. Read less

Highly recommend the Monaco over the Palomar. This hotel is much older and starting to look a little run down. The check-in was smooth and the amenities met our expectations, however upon our departure we realized that two pairs of expensive sunglasses were stolen from the glove box presumably by the valet. Our fault for not removing or locking the glove box, but still highly disappointing that an incident like this would happen at such a well rated hotel. Read less

I stay at the Kimpton Palomar every week for work and it feels like a second home. The staff are so friendly and will go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. I recently made Inner Circle status and they offer lots of little perks that really make a difference. The rooms are comfortable and a nice size. The nightly wine hour doesn't hurt… Read more

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Crusty towels and stained sheets

Jan 9, 2020 heathera912 Easton, Pennsylvania

Had an awful experience at the Palomar Philadelphia. My hand towels had crusty boogers on them and my comforter had a brown stain. They brought me new lines but did not take the dirty. I put the dirty comforter on the floor. The next day they made my bed with it again. Totally grossed out!!! Will never stay again. The Westin looked nicer!
