First let me say that I love Kimptons and am usually very happy. I will also say that the front desk person when I checked in was fantastic and accommodated my request to be moved to another room when I first arrived and was given a room in which I could practically touch all four walls from the bed. First let me say that I love Kimptons and am usually very happy. I will also say that the front desk person when I checked in was fantastic and accommodated my request to be moved to another room when I first arrived and was given a room in which I could practically touch all four walls from the bed. You could not move between the bed and dresser without turning sideways. The second room is slightly larger but no better. What I love about kimptons is the character, upscale finishes and comfortable beds. This property has none of those. The pillows are so lumpy I can’t even use them - I don’t even want to think about how old they are. The carpet is covered in lint. The furniture looks like it came from a holiday inn express and is scratched. The bathroom is extremely dated. I wish I had selected the other Kimpton in town or a different property. Won’t be back. Danielle at the front desk was very accommodating. She made us feel like stars. We ( My wife and 3 year old son) were only staying for a night and although travelling with a toddler can be tough the staff made it as smooth as possible.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Kimpton Palomar in Philly for two nights with family and friends. The hotel itself is beautifully appointed with a cosy fireplace in the lobby area to gather as a meeting place. Happy hour with wine was a treat, along with the popcorn. There was also coffee available in the morning, or you could ask for a personal sized Keurig for your room. Special shoutout to Rian, who greeted us with a welcoming smile upon checking in. She answered all of our questions patiently and kindly. Kiki at the front desk was also very helpful. Both of them left us treats in our rooms, from spiced nuts, macaroons, to some bottles of Pellegrino, along with personal notes. What a nice gesture. The beds were comfortable and the pillows, plentiful. If you forget to bring your toiletries, all it took was a quick phone call and they’d deliver it. The gym was well lit and ventilated, and had a nice bowl of fruits. The Palomar is also in a terrific location. We were able to walk to our many destinations quite easily, the Philadelphia Art Museum, The Flower Show at the Convention Center, Chinatown, and the Rocky Statue. Everyone we encountered during our stay was professional, courteous, and welcoming. Reuvon, Waddyyan, Ashley, Rian, and Kiki are all to be commended for the top notch service they provided. We would not hesitate to return. Betty Read less

This is a decent property near Rittenhouse Square. The room was in the back of the building so while no street noise there was much service entry and garbage collection noise. Not that restful. Good HVAC, however. The staff were terrific- front desk, bell hops, bar - everyone was welcoming. Good coffee service in the lobby. Fine hotel for a… Read more

With so many choices in this area I would be inclined to try out another property next time but I would recommend it for a one night stay. Read less

The hotel staff was very accommodating. The bed was very comfortable. I loved that there are full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower for your use. Really nice products too! We had a great city view from our windows. My daughter and I also took advantage of the free wine offered in the lobby during happy hour. Overall a really great weekend in Philadelphia and I would definitely stay here again! Read less
