We stayed at the Warwick trying to break from our usual preference, the Philadelphia Sofitel. The lobby is gorgeous, updated and contemporary, very airy and light and welcoming, and the restaurants and cafes at the ground level are terrific. Janessa, the manager, was accommodating, warm, and made our stay exceptionally pleasant, so we will return because of her and the general sense of the property (and the location). The rooms, however, are dated, a bit dingy, and need more of a structural update, not just a paint job and new bedding. The carpets are old (and smell dusty), and didn't feel very fresh. Not at all bad, just not the nicely scented luxe of a boutique hotel, and yet not the simple, clean-aired brightness of an updated mid-range hotel either. I would look forward to public areas of the hotel and the location, but I wouldn't look forward to the room again. And of note, the executive breakfast/social hour area on the 11th floor--they are trying. The buffet is ok, what you might find driving across country at a Home Suites. But most of all, the room, while featuring a nice view of Philly, is low-ceilinged and while one side has a couch and a couple side chairs, the other side is tables only, and the room/ceiling is too small to feel comfortable if one other person/couple is on the couch. Who wants to sit in a breakfast nook with wine at 6 p.m.? So Warwick should focus on these two essential areas, and they will hit it out of the park if they do. Rooms, however, are extremely important if they want guests to return with any consistency. Read less

It’s hard to get your teen excited about traveling with a parent over spring vacation, but when you walk into the lobby and they instagram immediately, you give yourself a little high five. Fantastic location for wandering around the stores. Cute drive up around brownstones. Love rittenhouse square! Great gym. But then your room which kind of smells faces a neighboring wall, you start to wonder. Ridiculous parking costs that they don’t articulate and a limited room service menu. The final straw was after tweaking my back I pleaded for help with the front desk, left to figure out myself, I never received a call back from the “hotel partner” service provider. So I leave this morning with just an ok and not sure I need to come back to this place. Nice but little attention to service. Read less

Smelt like cigarettes, and they did not tell me that parking my car would be $52.00 each night. If I would have known that I would have found somewhere else to park. Price was good because I booked through Expedia- however it wasn’t worth it with the room smelling like cigarettes
