Hotel is nice BUT California law requires face masks INSIDE. Many people were walking in and out WITHOUT face masks. No effort to enforce the law at all. Staff never stopped anyone. Room was nice. Double beds seem small. Even though we were on the 7th floor road noise was loud. Bring earplugs. Cable channel offerings was good. Includes HBO. Breakfasts was just ok. Limited selections, standard US offerings — cooked to order eggs, precooked French toast, precooked waffles (Luke warm at best), breakfast meats. No toast or bagels. No cut up fruit. Pastries prepackaged. They seem to take the covid safety rules seriously. Parking: valet only at $35 per day! Or park across the street in the city parking garage for $25. City lot is not secure. So if you choose to park in the city lot don’t leave anything of value or you may come back to a “smash and grab.” Read less

Let’s begin with the good: -The Valet were very kind. -The breakfast was delicious. The bad (Perhaps I had higher expectations because of the very high price tag. Also, I understand some of this is not the hotel’s fault, but it still muddied our experience): -The website should be updated to reflect that the pool and complimentary drinks are… Read more
Let’s begin with the good: -The Valet were very kind. -The breakfast was delicious. The bad (Perhaps I had higher expectations because of the very high price tag. Also, I understand some of this is not the hotel’s fault, but it still muddied our experience): -The website should be updated to reflect that the pool and complimentary drinks are closed on the main page (fyi gym too for those who would use it). There is a banner on the site, but you have to click it to get to this info. I’d appreciate it being more obvious. -The riverfront upsell was a dud. It is a moderately sized window that is half covered by the curtains and not conducive to enjoying the view. If it were to truly be a selling point, it would be nice to have really large windows with seating in front of it to sit and enjoy the view. -Your only option is to valet for $35/night unless you want to park in a public lot across the street that charges i think $9 overnight and $3 per hr around the nighttime hours. -Both the riverfront and the inside the hotel were SO LOUD at night. The Riverfront was especially loud with people blaring music and vehicles revving engines well into the night. We got lucky that our toddler didn’t wake up, but both of us did multiple times even with a sound machine on. -Our experience really wasn’t worth the high price tag. We’re really bummed that we chose to save a little time and stay here rather than stop in Tahoe for the night. Read less

Stayed at this hotel for one night. At 3AM, we heard a lot of noise coming from the next room. People were rapping, talking loudly, laughing loudly. My wife called the front desk who told her they will send security. Noise didn't stop. Wife called the second time and was again told they will send security. Nothing happened. Noise actually became worse. My wife did call a few more times until it was close to 6AM. Because we weren't able to go back to sleep, she kept on calling and complained about the same problem. We were told repeatedly that they will send security. When that didn't stop the noise, I decided to call the front desk myself instead of my wife. I spoke to Nicole and asked her what else she can do. The only thing she can tell me at that point was that she will call security and she will also call the manager. I did tell her that guests next door should be kicked out of the hotel for not following their policy about partying. I also suggested that she call the police. Nicole responded sounding upset and raised her voice on me saying, "Do you want them to get arrested because of that?" I thought that it was very rude and unprofessional of her to respond that way, but I'm not a very argumentative person and decided not to respond and just asked her to again send someone to tell the guests next door that other guests are complaining about them. When the noise didn't stop, I finally decided to ask to be transferred to a different room. Nicole did and said she will comp my room for the "inconvenience". Nicole could have handled it better by offering to transfer us to another room early on if she wasn't gonna be able to enforce their policy of stopping the noisy guests from partying. After the 2nd or 3rd call, the noisy guests should have been warned that they'd be kicked out of the hotel. If they continue on like what they did, they should have been kicked out and if they refuse, that would have been the time to call the police. If Nicole was quick enough to think and save us from all the inconvenience, she could have offered us another room or move the other guests to another room. My wife and I are both very upset and didn't bother or think of asking. A good hotel customer service personnel would have thought of "room transfer" right away. I'm not sure why Nicole didn't do that sooner. Read less

I always enjoy this hotel but the last few times there has been loud music being played on the river in the evening. It is very loud and is easily heard in the rooms on the river side. I finally asked the front desk about this and they said it was a program by the city or someone to have music on the water front. They said if it was a problem in the evening, I could notify them and the manager would be able to do something about it. Last night, the music didn't stop til after 10 pm. So be forewarned if you have a river side room! Wish someone had told me about this before. Read less

This was a great hotel with a wonderful view of the water. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were able to get situated and seamlessly with the digital key and everything.
