Walking distance to old Sacramento to celebrate Halloween as well as kings game and Macy’s. The only thing that bothered me was the fire drill at 1 AM and we had to stand outside in the freezing cold for 20 minutes and didn’t even get an apology from the hotel. But that’s a bizarre occurrence. Read less

A fire alarm went off at the hotel at 1am. That happens -- but, the staff was untrained and not helpful. Every guest went into the street -- we weren't told where to go, what was happening, or -- importantly -- when to return to the hotel. Every guest went into the street -- we weren't told where to go, what was happening, or -- importantly -- when to return to the hotel. After about 30 minutes, everyone just began walking in by themselves. Had this been a real emergency (maybe it was -- we never knew) it was wholly unacceptable to get NO INSTRUCTION AT ALL. You're on your own. If safety is important to you, DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. Read less

Check the bedding for cleanliness. The manager on duty, not responsive to complaint regarding the blood on the comforter. We inquired of the comforters are washed as they only put a sheet under and on top of it. The manger ensured they are washed, impossible.

Loved this place, clean, close to everything downtown and to old Sacramento. Staff was great and the Manager came around to check the you were doing well. I would come back to this hotel again.. we have a event coming up and I will book our rooms here

We found ourselves in Sacramento after a long day in the car on a road trip and booked this place for its proximity to Tower Bridge and as we know the brand. Valet parking was expensive at $32 for the night. So was the room and it is safe to say- the twin 'double' that was available was without a doubt the smallest 'double' beds we have ever encountered. They looked like singles. My husband and I barely fit on the bed together and I am a petite 5 foot nothing. However after 27 years of sharing, we endured, but did not sleep well. All else was fine though. The hotel could do with a face-lift but it is getting by. The Manager's reception is always good- we arrived with just 20 minutes left and were advised by reception to go straight there, which we did and still managed to get two drinks in ( It had been a long day in the car!) The location is probably why the rooms are at such a premium- you are just a few minutes walk from the lovely Old Town which is where you want to be when visiting Sacramento. Loads of great restaurants and bars. Breakfast was the usual Embassy Suites Scrum and we had to eat sitting at the bar, but there was plenty of everything and delicious porridge which I appreciated. They also gave us a late check out until 12 noon which we always find accommodating. Read less
