The hotel

Watch turtles swimming in ponds, ducks wandering around and palms swaying in the breeze at this fantastic award-winning hotel. Millionaires' yachts come and go from the private marina next door and amidst the leafiness you'll find great sports facilities for exploring the locale. SeaWorld® San Diego is 5-minute drive, as are the glorious Pacific beaches. The summer concert series (May-Oct) attracts talent from all arenas including music and comedy.

We have been coming to Humphrey's for years and have never had a bad experience. This is still a great place to say, but the property is starting to show its age. We think it is becoming a bit over priced for the age category. Rooms were clean and nice, but nothing spectacular. I will admit, we had a bad last night stay. Apparently, there… Read more
We have been coming to Humphrey's for years and have never had a bad experience. This is still a great place to say, but the property is starting to show its age. We think it is becoming a bit over priced for the age category. Rooms were clean and nice, but nothing spectacular. I will admit, we had a bad last night stay. Apparently, there was a very rowdy partying going on in the suite below that kept us up all night long before a 6am flight. My advice is that if you are looking for a family night stay, avoid the concert series nights and be careful not to overpay for this place. Average place on the high side of the room rate scale. Recently stayed here with my family for a mix of business and pleasure. We had the Large harbor view suite. It was fantastic very clean with a full kitchen and all the amenities you could easily have a family of four or five and entertain with a large dinner as well. We've held two conferences at this hotel and I've stayed here a total of 4 times. I love, love, love this hotel. It is the perfect vibe for a more intimate conference or retreat. We had 95 people in the conference room and we had about 110 people for a lunch outside on the concert lawn. Everyone just raves about this location, and almost… Read more

We had 95 people in the conference room and we had about 110 people for a lunch outside on the concert lawn. Everyone just raves about this location, and almost everyone returned the second year. Sarah Stinson was our sales rep this year and last. She's the best! Super patient with our questions and very helpful to come up with the best experience without breaking the budget. One of the front desk staff members that really stood out was named Michelle. She was a sweetheart. You'd think she had part ownership in the property. She provided exceptional customer service. She is really and asset to the hotel. Read less

We stayed at this resort for the music. They have big name Jazz guests and one of the few venues that offer jazz. The hotel is clean, the pool area is good. Had nice walks along the waterfront. 15 min drive to SD downtown.
